Matt Lauer isn't just having problems with his television network, he's having problems with the town where he hopes to live/build a 40 acre horse farm!

The town of Southampton has put a stop-work order on Matt's farm which he had been in the middle of constructing.

The land had previously been a former office structure.

The actor, who is vegan and a HUGE animal rights activist, is throwing his weight behind the Massachusetts Prevention of Farm Animal Cruelty Act, a bill that will outlaw inhumane treatment of animals at factory farms.
