rachel mcadams true detective season 2 female lead

Ever since Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson killed it in the crazy, dark buddy cop thriller that was True Detective season one, everyone has wondered what stars would be appearing in the next iteration.

While Colin FarrellTaylor Kitsch, and Vince Vaughn are reportedly in final negotiations to play the three male roles, the female lead is still up in the air.

Mad Men star Elisabeth Moss has been rumored to be interested. But if there's one gal who could snatch it away, it's queen of the Mean Girls Regina George!

According to reports, Rachel McAdams is now vying for the role, which is sure to be something we've never seen on TV before!

Rachel could also have a fun little Wedding Crashers reunion with Vince! Not to mention taking direction from this guy. No wonder she's after the part! LOLz!

You make fetch happen and get you that role, gurl!

Evangeline Lilly has Lost out on some major movie roles over the past few years (she was THISCLOSE to playing Wonder Woman), but it looks like she's zero-ing in on this one!

The star of The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug is getting on the Marvel blockbuster train; she's in talks to join the next "big" superhero flick Ant-Man!

Insiders say Miz Evangeline is in talks to play a major role, possibly the daughter of Michael Douglas and love interest to Paul Rudd's shrinking superhero!

One problem - how is Paul supposed to stay small when he has to make out with the gorge Evangeline?? LOLz!

Glad to hear she's back on her feet!

Even though the pilot for the proposed Wonder Woman TV show didn't end up panning out, its star Adrianne Palicki, will be taking on a new beloved superhero - in the upcoming sequel to G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra, called G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes!

The actress has reportedly signed to play the film's female lead, Lady Jaye, alongside Channing Tatum, Ray Park, RZA, and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

Meanwhile, sources close to production have revealed that the role of the original G.I. Joe, Joe Colton, has been included in the script, and the studio is eyeing several different actors for the part, including Bruce Willis!

Wow! We wonder if he'd be interested!

The cast of this is coming along rather nicely! Here's hoping it will more than surpass the original!

What do U think of the sequel's line-up so far?

And The Female Lead For J.J. Abrams' New CBS Pilot Is…

jj abrams casts female lead for cbs pilot

Evangeline Lilly again! JK!

While we all miss Lost's Kate Austen terribly, she will NOT be starring in J.J. Abrams' new CBS pilot Person of Interest.

Abrams has cast The Curious Case of Benjamin Button Oscar nominee Taraji P. Henson as Carter, a female detective.

The show is about "an ex-CIA agent who is recruited by a crazy billionaire to help fight crime in New York City."

And for those of you who are mad about the false Lost-related announcement, don't worry! Michael "Ben" Emerson is confirmed for the show as well.

Are U intrigued by J.J. Abrams' new CBS pilot?
