Relax! It's just a game people!
Boise State kicker Kyle Brotzman is receiving DEATH THREATS after he missed two opportunities two kick gaming winning field goals, which unfortunately resulted in his team losing 34-31 to Nevada last Friday.
A woman, unrelated to the kicker, but with a similar last name received a phone call from an angry fan saying:
“I know you got plenty of these messages, but I hope you know that you lost it for everyone. Just ruined. You’re a piece of **** man… [inaudible] It’s messed up man.”
Wow. That's messed up!
Fans are even hitting him where it hits hardest. That's right. Facebook.
Facebook pages include “Kyle Brotzman sucks” — “liked” by over 1,000 people — and “F*** Kyle Brotzman”.
However, for every negative reaction, there is a positive one in the form of over 30,000 fans supporting him on a page called "Bronco Nation Loves Kyle Brotzman".
One supporter gushes:
"You're an inspiration to my son and every kid who has football in his heart."
Still, it's very disturbing to see Boise State's biggest
lunatics fans reacting in such a negative, immature, and hostile manner.
Kyle only missed 3 kicks the entire season prior to this game and if it comes down to a field goal to win the game, there are surely more people on the the team to blame.
If only these people who are so adamant about speaking out against a college athelete for missing a field goal would speak out about things in that actually matter in the world.
You know, other silly things we like to care about in our free time like stopping genocide or world hunger.
It's just a game people, get a life.
