Mel Gibson is on a comeback from his "sugar tits" days as the director's newest flick Hacksaw Ridge received a 10-minute standing ovation at its premiere — and people are already talking Oscar buzz!

Even though the movie has received some AH-Mazing early praise, we were curious about how the star of the film, Andrew Garfield, felt working with Mel after the SEVERAL anti-semitic things Gibson has said in the past!

Well luckily for us, Jimmy Kimmel was curious as well — and asked Andrew point blank how he did it!

Not only did Andrew explain how the Mad Max star put him at ease, he also dished about some pranks Mel pulled on himself and Vince Vaughn last Halloween! A buddy of Mel's even punched the star in the face once for his shenanigans!

And not for the anti-semitic stuff. Weird.

Sometimes, tragically, people die on or around movie sets. Accidents happen.

But these movies seem to be part of death's design…

The freak accident that caused Brandon Lee's death in The Crow is infamous — but did you know about the rest of the film's accidents? Or about the death curses on Poltergeist and Rebel Without A Cause?

How about the comedy film that has never been shot because its leads have always died before production began??

Jennifer Lawrence Better Gear Up For Some Competition — Scarlett Johansson Is Set To Star In Another Zelda Fitgerald Movie!

no title

A little friendly competition never hurt anyone, right?

Following news that Jennifer Lawrence is set to portray literary icon Zelda Fitzgerald in a Ron Howard directed film, Scarlett Johansson came out with her own Zelda news.

Per the Hollywood Reporter, Scarlett will take on the complicated figure in her own project which will be financed by Millennial Films. While there's not many additional details about S.J.'s plans, the report did confirm the company will have access to recently unearthed transcripts from where Fitzgerald was institutionalized in the later years of her life. Apparently the docs confirm rampant theories that her famous husband Scott F. Fitzgerald stole many of her ideas for his own benefit.

Umm… talk about an edge, much?! We imagine Scarlett has way more material to work with!

Speaking on the exciting film, Millennium president Mark Gill explained:

"It was the height of the Jazz Age, so you have all of that glamor and sophistication and living large. But you also have the massive drama of fly high, crash hard. She was massively ahead of her time, and she took a beating for it. He stole her ideas and put them in his books. The marriage was a co-dependency from hell with a Jazz Age soundtrack."

Sounds like a lot of drama!

So, who would you rather see play Zelda?
