3-Time Oscar Winner Daniel Day-Lewis Will Never Act Again!

Good thing we weren't expecting a Lincoln 2

Three-time Oscar winner Daniel Day-Lewis, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest actors of his generation, has officially retired from acting.

Variety reports that the Lincoln star, the only performer to ever win three Academy Awards for Best Actor, didn't give any reason for his retirement — and will not be making ANY further comments on the "private decision"!

Day-Lewis' spokeswoman Leslee Dart confirmed the news in a statement, (sort of) explaining:

"Daniel Day-Lewis will no longer be working as an actor. He is immensely grateful to all of his collaborators and audiences over the many years. This is a private decision and neither he nor his representatives will make any further comment on this subject."

Sad! But fans of the 60-year-old method actor still have one final film to look forward to. Day-Lewis is set to star in an untitled drama directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, set in the world of fashion. Despite being retired, the actor intends to help promote the movie — which is set to hit theaters on December 25, 2017.

While this announcement sounds unequivocal, it wouldn't be the first time the actor stepped away from the cameras.

He appeared to give up acting in the late ‘90s and early ‘00s, and was reportedly working as a cobbler before Martin Scorsese convinced him to star in Gangs of New York.

Never say never?

Before his sudden death last month, Chris Cornell had created one final music video.

The video for The Promise, the theme from the film of the same name about the Armenian genocide, is made up of footage of the late rocker as well as refugee footage from around the world — making it perfect for release on World Refugee Day.

It looks like Lily Collins is really putting her body and soul into her next role.

In To The Bone, she plays a young woman finally getting treatment for her anorexia, thanks to unorthodox doc Keanu Reeves.

The Netflix original was written and directed by Marti Noxon (Buffy, UnREAL), and she and Lily both drew on their real struggles with eating disorders to create what might be the most realistic look ever seen on film.

You can see To The Bone on July 14. Until then, see what other stars put their bodies through to bring film characters to life…

Gal Gadot Was Only Paid $300,000 For Wonder Woman — Will Pay Gap Justice Prevail For The Sequel?

no title

There's one ongoing battle we can't blame on Ares: the gender pay gap!

Wonder Woman is making a killing at the worldwide box office, having just cleared the $500 million mark. The Patty Jenkins-directed blockbuster is on such a good financial track, it might end up making more than Man of Steel or Batman v Superman.

So, it's extra frustrating to learn how shockingly low Gal Gadot was paid to star in the hit superhero film!

Back in 2014, the actress signed with Warner Bros. for a three picture deal — Batman v Superman, Wonder Woman, and the upcoming Justice League — and was paid $300,000 per film.

That figure isn't too bad in terms of the superhero genre. Chris Evans made $300k for Captain America, and some of The Avengers earned $200k for the 2012 Marvel ensemble pic.

But compared to her fellow DC Comics stars, Gadot's payday is far from wonderful.

Why? Because Henry Cavill earned a healthy

It was a big winner for Cars 3 at the box office this weekend!
