It would be such a shame to see this place close down!
He truly was such a wonderful man, and an icon who should not be forgotten!
The Jimmy Stuart Museum, which is located in the actor's hometown of Indiana, PA, is facing serious financial hardship, and could close down if the cash flow doesn't increase!
Executive director Timothy Harley, who is the museum's only full-time employee, says:
“It’s touch and go right now. We need a cash influx to help us get through this challenging time. We used to see 10 to 15 charter bookings per month in September and October. This year, we did not have five between both months combined. Attendance in 2009 was 6,500 and this year it's down to about 5,000. Plus, our state funding has dropped from $5,500 per year to $1,400.”
Museum host Pat Ward continues:
“This museum’s not just about Jimmy Stewart — it’s about America. His life takes us through the life of The Greatest Generation.”
Very true! The man gave up his career to go and serve his country!
We wonder how many actors would do the same in today's time!

We have a hard time believing that anyone with that many kids would be so foolish with her spending, but then again, we are talking about Kate Gosselin!
Sources close to the reality mom have revealed that despite earning a fortune from her show Kate Plus Eight and Dancing With The Stars, she's blown through almost all of it!
"Kate lives like she is a movie star. She flies first class and stays at the most expensive hotels and spends money on herself like it's going out of fashion. Remember, this is a woman who once spent $7,000 on a haircut! Kate was hoping to get paid to endorse a bunch of products. She thought she would earn millions by advertising baby carriages, food and cloths, but no one wanted her. The poor thing even thought she would get a deal with Cover Girl after being on 'Dancing With The Stars,' instead they went with Beyonce. Kate is so worried about her finances that she's even thinking about getting a real job."
Good! We think that she should work normally again!
We hate to say it, but girl is probably long overdue for an attitude adjustment! She needs to remember that her first priority is being a mom!
Gordon Ramsay has had a tough few months, between his serious financial woes, the firing of his father-in-law, Chris Hutcheson, as managing director of Gordon Ramsay Holdings, and now a public letter from his mistress to his WIFE, and it doesn't look like the drama is letting up anytime soon!
According to reports, a computer expert has been suspended from Ramsay's company because someone has been hacking into the celebrity chef's e-mails!
Kevin Fung, the IT expert in question, is apparently out of a job until an internal investigation of the company is complete!
The insider explains:
"We have been informed that people's emails were being hacked into. Several documents important to the business have also mysteriously gone astray. Gordon is extremely concerned that emails he has sent and received - many containing highly sensitive commercial material - have been snooped upon."
What a mess!
What on Earth has been going on in that company?! Seriously!
We think that if Ramsay ever scrapes his life back together after all of this nonsense, he make some serious changes to the people he has working for him!
But who knows if his company will even recover enough for him to switch things up?
The notoriously difficult director has been attempting to finish the film Nailed - which legitimately sounds like an inspired piece of filmmaking, mainly because it involves Jessica Biel getting shot in the head with a nail gun - but due to financial problems and production snags, it has been sitting on the shelf incomplete since 2008.
We've now learned that after one-on-one negotiations fell apart with financier Ronald Tutor, Russell has walked away from the project, and it will be completed by someone else!
"This has been a painful process for me. The multiple production delays and stoppages, which were caused by David Bergstein and preceded Ron Tutor's direct involvement with me, have now spanned two years, and the circumstances under which the film would now be completed are much different on several fundamental levels than when we embarked several years ago. I, unfortunately, am no longer involved in the project and cannot call it 'my' film. I wish Ron Tutor well."
"Russell conducted himself like a perfect gentleman. I understood his position. It really didn't have anything to do with him but with others, and we just reached a point where I couldn't do what he wanted. But it was a decent negotiation between the two of us. No lawyers. No idle threats, just two people trying to clean something up, and we couldn't get there. It was surprising and disappointing, but I understood."
Ha! We're sure he was completely level-headed and rational!
Once a new director is hired, Biel and co-star Tracy Morgan will be expected to participate in re-shoots.
YEESH! It sounds to use like there is no chance of making back all of the money that's gone into this thing! First James Caan walks off the set because he can't deal with Russell's crazy, and now this!
And just in case you're curious to see the director conducting himself like a 'perfect gentleman,' here he is with Lily Tomlin on the set of I Heart Huckabees (below)!
