Finding Neverland is hitting Broadway, so get ready to go to the second star to the right, and straight on till morning! The public has to wait until April 15th to see the production, but in the meantime we have a sneak peek!
It's typical for Broadway performers to be featured on the soundtrack of the show they're starring in, but Harvey Weinstein is taking a different approach with his new Broadway show!
After getting a sneak peek of Finding Neverland from Jennifer Hudson's breathtaking performance at the Tony Awards on Sunday evening, the Hollywood big shot revealed he's planning on releasing a concept album shortly after the show debuts on Broadway!
But unfortunately it isn't featuring the cast members of the show!
Harvey explained that Taylor Swift and Alicia Keys are probably going to be involved in the concept album for the Broadway musical with JHud, but the three will not be appearing on the Great White Way at all.
Such a bummer, we'd totally be down to see Swifty hold her own on Broadway!
If you missed out on JHud's stellar performance, take a look at it (below)! It's definitely a look of what's to come on this concept album!
The Tony Awards is not just an evening to celebrate what Broadway has given us this past year, but also what is to come.
Finding Neverland has a bit of time before it finds its way to the Great White Way, but tonight, we were treated to a first look of what the show will sound like — and it sounded a lot like Jennifer Hudson pulling on every heartstring we own!!!
Please go ahead and check out the video above to be transported to a place where dreams are born and time is never planned.
Host of Britain's X Factor, Gary Barlow has been invited to do a rewrite of the musical score to the Finding Neverland musical, which is being developed by producer Harvey Weinstein.
The musical will be based on the movie of the same name, which will center around the author J. M. Barrie (portrayed by Johnny Depp in the film), who penned Peter Pan.
The musical has gone through redrafting after it premiered at the Leicester Curve back in October 2012. Barlow joins the ranks of composers Scott Frankel and Michael Koire who are working on the music, while James Graham the writer of This House has been brought on to revamp the story.
While nothing has been set in stone, we're eager to see the musical of the movie that made us all weep hysterically. Just a little more pixie dust, and this show should be flying to the West End sometime soon!
On Saturday, Leolah Brown, the sister of Bobby Brown, caused a scene when she started screaming at Pat Houston. LB allegedly yelled:
"Pat you know you are wrong for this!"
Talk about classless! Thankfully Tyler Perry was there to calm everyone down.
Outside of the church, LB added:
"It's not over. We've got evidence of who Pat really is, this is going to be a long drawn out process. Things are connected. Pat is a fraud and a phony. She is not a Houston, she's a Garland. She will be remembered in our hearts forever. It's so sad that this has happened to her. I'm angry at Nick, I am angry at what happened. It was all fine until Pat started speaking."
According to insiders, Brown believes Pat has ulterior motives where it concerns Bobbi's inheritance and they've been feuding ever since the 22-year-old became comatose. It's just a sad situation all around.
We hope the rest of the services go smoothly -- anything else would be a disservice to BK's memory!
