What was the first bomb ever invented? The F-bomb!
The origins of the F word aren't entirely clear, but it's thought to have developed as a curse in the latter half of the 15th century.
But the first known written use of the word may be in a manuscript (above) from 1528!
A grumpy monk (clergy were often the only people who could read and write back then) seems to have scribbled this note in the margin of a book, writing "fuckin Abbot."
Besides being Lou Costello's original, less popular catchphrase, the words are likely not meant to be literal but simply written out of annoyance at the writing's content.
That or he was writing the world's first and worst Cliff Notes! LOLz!
