Marco Liebenow is one lucky German!!
He was fishing with tour company Angelreisen Hamburg off the coast of Norway when he caught one heck of a fish…
A 515-pound Halibut to be exact!!
Reeling in that fish apparently felt like pulling in a submarine.
The current record for Halibut is 459-pounds… so this new fish SHATTERS the old record!
After a full 90 minutes, Liebenow and three other men were able to reel in the beast!
What's incredible is the 8.6-foot-long fish wouldn't fit on their boat! So they had to drag the fish back to harbor!
That's so crazy!
Sucks, though, that such an old, large fish had to die. We hope you eat it and use every part!!

Anthony Wichman caught a hell of a fish off the island of Kauai, Hawaii.
He hooked a 200-pound tuna while fishing off his 14-foot boat!
What was a good fishing story turned into a fight for his life when the powerful fish capsized his small boat. Worst part is, Whichman's leg got caught in the fishing line and he was dragged under the water!!

On Nantucket beach, several young men were fishing when one of them caught a large shark!
Elliot Sudal, 24, dragged the massive beast onto the shore, snapped a couple of photos with the shark and then released it back into the water.
We're so glad that he put the shark back in the water!
At first we thought it was a cruel act of a young man trying to show off his big muscles, but then we realized he was trying to return the shark to its home!
Check out the video (above) to see a young, jacked guy wrestling with a huge shark!

Henry Liebman is a sport fisherman from Seattle who was deep-sea fishing off the coast of Alaska a few weeks ago.
When fishing, you never know what you're gonna get… so he must've certainly been surprised when he hooked a record-setting, 40-pound shortraker rockfish!
40-pounds doesn't sound too impressive as far as deep-sea fishing is concerned, but this rockfish was special… it's believed to be at least 200-years-old!!

A group of men were out fishing off the coast of SoCal.
What could've been a normal, boring fishing trip, turned into possibly a record setting outing.
While filming for a new Outdoor Channel show called
The Professionals, they hooked a Mako shark.
A GIANT Mako shark! They fought for two hours to reel in the 1,300-pound beast!!
That sure is gonna be some great footage for their show!
The shark's body has been donated to science to study so at least it will go to good use.
Check out the video (above) to see the giant beast these men somehow reeled in!

It's pretty rare to see a great white shark in South Florida, but it does happen.
It's even rarer to catch one and reel it in!!
A high school baseball team was on a fishing boat in South Florida when exactly that happened!
It took four players over two hours to reel the shark into the boat.
Since great whites are protected, the shark was released so yay! Happy ending!
The 1,000-pound, 10-13ft shark was the largest the ship captain had ever caught in his 30 years of fishing!
