There's lucky, and then there's blessed.
In the case of Maarten De Jonge, we don't even know what to call it.
The Dutch pro cyclist is a member of the Terengganu Cycling Team in Malaysia and thus has to take a lot of flights on Malaysia Airlines. These trips should have included both ill-fated flights 370 AND MH17.
But both times, despite having tickets, Maarten

We honestly didn't think any more details could make the crash of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 more tragic. But it seems every new bit of news is doing just that.
Australian native Kaylene Mann just learned that she lost her stepdaughter on the flight. This isn't just sad; it's incomprehensible.
You see, Kaylene also lost her brother and sister-in-law just four months ago- on Malaysia Airlines Flight 370.
The family is still in shock over their second tragedy. Kaylene's brother Greg Burrows said:

Even more sad news comes from Malaysia today!
Christina Aguilera has chosen to cancel her scheduled concert following the Formula 1 race in Kuala Lumpur to show respect for those who fatally crashed with Malaysia Airlines Flight 370.
The free concert was set to take place in Malaysia's ultra luxe Petronas twin towers at the center of the capital city this weekend and it would've been the diva's very first time performing in the region.
Thankfully, Twin Towers Alive organizers have set up a hotline where those disappointed by the changed plans can voice concerns and discuss rescheduling.
While it's a definite bummer for all of Xtina's fans in the east, it only seems right to cancel - especially following yesterday's reports that there are absolutely no survivors after the crash site was found in the Indian Ocean.
Do YOU think it was the right decision for Christina Aguilera to cancel her Malaysian concert?
- No. It wouldn't hurt to make the mourning families smile. (26%)
- Yes! It's the respectful thing to do. (74%)
