High Prices Are Driving An Important Ingredient Off Of Airline Drink Menus! Get The Deets HERE!

Airlines are starting to cut limes off their drink menus due to increases in prices!

If you're someone who enjoys a nice refreshing beverage on your flight, then you might want to pay attention to this!

Production of limes has been at an all-time low due to flooding in Mexico and droughts in California, meaning prices have gone WAY up! In fact, the cost is so high that most flights have chosen to completely eliminate them from their drink menu and it doesn't look like

International Flight Wi-Fi? TAKE OUR MONEY!

Finally!

There's nothing worse than international flights. They're cramped, long, and boring.

One of those things is about to change (it's the boring part, if you didn't read the headline)! United is becoming the first U.S. airline to offer Wi-Fi on their international flights!! Of course, this is going to cost you: you can pick between two internet speeds — a standard speed between $4 and $15 or an accelerated speed ranging between $6 and $20.

Honestly, that extra $20 bucks will be worth it if we can tweet from 30,000ft on a trip to Tokyo. Yeah, bitch!

Will U be breaking out UR wallet??

Airlines May Loosen Ban On Electronics In Flight!

Airplane Interior

“At this time, please turn off all portable electronics” may SOON be a phrase of the past!!

Looks like the government is taking baby steps in getting airlines to allow passengers to use their favorite electronic gadgets for the WHOLE flight…even during takeoffs AND landings!

About time!!!

The Federal Aviation Administration is currently in talks to see if they can find out practical (and safe) ways to test the use of devices like tablets, e-readers and music players during critical flight moments.

The tricky part? Not all electronic devices have the same amount of power, making testing difficult. Also, with technology quickly changing, different generations of devices would EACH have to be tested and approved.

…that makes for a LOT of devices!

Phew!

We don't know what we would have done without our heart's true desire there - and you know, her castmembers!

As Hurricane Irene rages up the east coast, a majority of flights out of the New York/New Jersey area have been grounded, but luckily, MTV had some foresight and made sure to fly Jersey Shore castmembers Snooki, Vinny, Deena, and Sammi into Los Angeles last night, via private jet, so they could make it to the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday!

Boo! Spirit Airlines To Charge $5 Boarding Pass Fee!

spirit to charge five dollar boarding pass fee

This is SUCH bullshiz!

Last year, Spirit Airlines became the first American airline to charge a fee for carry-on baggage, which we thought was seriously lame.

Then, they briefly SORT OF won us over with some of their funny ads, such as their recent "Weiner Sale!" ad.

No amount of weiners can make up for their new policy though: starting November 1st, they'll charge $5 for boarding passes printed out by Spirit agents EACH WAY. WTF?

There won't be any charge if you check in online or print your own boarding pass, but just on principle we find this ridiculous!

We understand that people use Spirit Airlines because they have cheap flights, but what's the point in offering discount flights if you're going to add extra charges for EVERYTHING! We've even heard that they charge for water on Spirit flights. SO uncool!

Here's what Spirit President and CEO Ben Baldanza had to say about the new policy:
