Several celebs — including Nick Jonas, Lady GaGa, Andy Cohen, Tituss Burgess, and more — spoke at vigils around the country on Monday night, memorializing the victims of the weekend's senseless attack.

Burgess spoke at a vigil in New York City, and the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt actor was obviously extremely emotional — and took the shooting personally, as so many of us have. He said:

"I have to tell you, being here and seeing all of your faces has comforted me in a way that I did not expect coming down here. I am indeed Orlando, and in times like this, I find myself at a loss for what to do. I love you guys."

Burgess sang Somewhere from West Side Story in an attempt to bring the crowd unity, before departing the stage in an obviously emotional state:

Justice was one of the 49 people killed by shooter Omar Mateen after the deranged gunman opened fire in the club — but it's Justice's story that millions of people have seen through cable TV news and other outlets.

When the shooting started, the 30-year-old accountant ran into a bathroom in an attempt to hide.

But after his group was trapped there and eventually cornered by the shooter, he began sending his mother Mina frantic text messages that startled her awake just after 2:00 a.m. on Sunday morning.

The two had a full conversation back and forth, with Justice writing:

So touching to see John Oliver so visibly moved like this.

The Last Week Tonight host went on his HBO show on Sunday evening and — despite having an already pre-planned routine that he'd been preparing all week, spoke off the cuff about the horrible nightclub terror tragedy in Orlando.

The fiery TV host didn't hold back in his very brief comments addressed to the audience at the very top of his show, after which things more or less ran normally.

But it's what John said — and how he said it — that is attracting so much attention.

He opened it up by seeing the good in America with a message about the club, and Latin night, and Disney World (below):

It's sad that an awful tragedy like Sunday morning's Orlando nightclub shooting is the cause of this, but we are SO happy to see people coming out and living their authentic life as gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender!

Following the shooting — and the swelling of gay pride despite the terror attack — people from all over the world are coming out and owning it! PRIDE!!!

There are countless examples of it in just the last day, but take, as one, 28-year-old lawyer Ashley Connick.

Married to his wife of three years, he came out on Twitter yesterday using the bisexual pride flag — and even though his wife had known about his orientation, this was news to everyone else in his life.

This is horrifying!

According to law enforcement reports, the gunman behind the awful Orlando nightclub shootings recently scouted Walt Disney World in the central Florida city as a potential target.

Omar Mateen and his wife, Noor Zahi Salman, visited Disney World two months ago, according to a law enforcement source.

The express purpose of that visit — as told by Salman herself to federal authorities — was a 'scouting' mission to scope out potential targets for his attacks.

First off, that is AWFUL!

Second… Salman knew about the scouting, and never

This is tough to read.

According to authorities, ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attacks at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida last night — and apparently, gunman Omar Mateen called 911 during the shooting to pledge his allegiance to the terror organization.

Orlando police officials told reporters that they believe Mateen called 911 about 30 minutes after he started opening fire at the Orlando club, announcing that he was shooting up the club and warning police about having explosives along with him there.

A federal official told PEOPLE that after Mateen hung up, 911 dispatchers called him back:
