Great… just what we needed… looks like this year is going to have another big flu season!

The CDC is warning that this year's flu season is hitting hard and early!

Five states (Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Texas) have already been reporting higher than normal flu incidences.

Three schools in Tennessee have already closed for the week because so many students and teachers are so sick!

So what can you do??

With that in mind, here are ten foods you should eat to help you stay clear of this annoying infectious disease that could knock you out of your daily routine for days on end!

Suck Down Skim Milk: Vitamin D is key for defending your body against germs. Experts suggest 600 international units a day, which can be found in fortified milk, OJ, yogurt, eggs and salmon.

Eat Red Bell Pepper: Vitamin C is a no-brainer when it comes to boosting your immune system. However, did U know that red bell peppers have nearly 3x as much of vitamin C as an orange? Just half of one will give women their recommended daily dose of 75 milligrams, while men need about 90 milligrams.

Drink Tea Instead Of Coffee: Harvard University found the immune cells of tea drinkers responded to germs 5x faster than immune cells of coffee drinkers!

Eat Yogurt: Make sure it's marked with a seal from the National Yogurt Association's Live & Active Cultures, but the probiotics (healthy bacteria) will help create a stronger immune system while lowering the risk of gum disease and some cancers.
