We Effing Called It! Starbucks Is Officially Releasing The Mermaid Frappuccino!

We told you so!

Back in April, after the success of the Unicorn Frappuccino, we came up with SEVERAL ideas for Starbucks' next drink!

Although "The Galaxy" (blackberries and acai, topped with whipped cream and white sprinkles) was the winner, "The Mermaid" (raspberry and blue raspberry sorbet swirl, with Goldfish Graham cookies) came in third!

Fast forward to Thursday, Starbucks Mexico announced on Twitter they are officially releasing the Mermaid Frappuccino in more than 600 stores!

The colorful concoction — which is a green melon creme drink, topped with blue vanilla whipped cream and blue and pink sprinkles — was inspired by the company's logo. Sorry y'all, but we think our idea is better!

The drink is available for only a limited time, and it's unlikely it will be sold in other countries since some of the ingredients are unavailable in U.S. chains.

As we reported, in May, a creative barista created the unofficial Mermaid Frappuccino which is a Pokémon GO frap (vanilla bean base, blended with freeze-dried blackberries, and topped off with whipped cream) but instead of raspberry syrup, the yummy treat is drizzled with a toasted coconut matcha sauce.

Mexico, here we come!

The farm was grateful for the firefighters' fearless service, and wanted to say thank you. So, six months later, manager Rachel Rivers gave the pigs back to the officers — in the form of sausages!

The department found themselves in another firestorm after posting about the "fantastic" gift on Facebook, sharing a photo of the pork products barbequing on the grill.

Animal lovers were steamed. PETA pointed out the irony of the ill-fated rescue, saying the piglets were "no better off" for escaping the fire, adding:
