With Thanksgiving just around the corner and Christmas soon after, it's the time of year to give to others who are less fortunate than yourself.
So Wal-Mart decided to get into the spirit by holding a food drive, asking customers who come in to donate food for those who might not be able to afford a hearty holiday feast!
But the food wasn't going to a homeless shelter or a local charity. Everything was actually going toward their own employees!
Wal-Mart spokesperson Kory Lundberg said he thought the move was definitely a positive thing:

Nick Canon is working to fight hunger in the US by joining forces with the Campbell Soup Company.
On May 14, the Feeding America “Stamp Out Hunger” national food drive will take place in cities across the US.
“My family turned to food pantries for assistance from time to time when I was growing up, so I know first-hand how important this food drive is. With more than 50 million Americans living at risk of hunger, please join me and millions of other generous Americans on Saturday, May 14 by placing a non-perishable food donation next to your mailbox to help the National Association of Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger.”
The “Stamp Out Hunger” campaign has been running for 19 years, and has set a record for food collected over 18 billion pounds of food over that time span.
