And here we were thinking Wal-Mart holding a food drive for their own employees was bad!

With the holidays rapidly approaching, McDonald's decided to give their workers a helping hand to avoid burning a hole in their pocket! But instead of a food drive or a Christmas bonus, they offered something much more helpful cost-effective: some nice, free advice!

Unfortunately, not all of their tips and tricks are rubbing their employees the right way, including this little Chicken McNugget of wisdom:

Octo-Mom Defends Decision To Go On Food Stamps

Ugh.

Octo-Mom has been under fire since she admitted that went on government assistance to help feed her 14 children.

The state offers $2,000 a month to large families who earn less than $119,000 a year, which is something she now defends.

Nadya Suleman says:

"I made that call reluctantly. I needed to remove my pride, it was fear. I was terrified and I received thousands and thousands of death threats. I still am [working] as hard as I can to support them.

In my mind I was doing well with the six and it's three books in itself to rationalize why I wanted one more after six. But who cares how I feel – it's about my children. They deserve the best. My family is my priority."

Her family should have been her priority before she decided to have more children. We're just sayin'.

Lame! Michigan $2 Million Lottery Winner STILL Using Food Stamps

Filed under: Wacky, Tacky & TrueSad Sad

Leroy Fick evil laugh

What a SLAP in the face to the poor!

Leroy Fick of Auburn, Michigan won a $2 million lottery prize 11 months ago, but still uses food stamps to pay for groceries.

Michigan senator Rick Jones is not happy about it either, saying:

"For Leroy Fick to continue to use a Bridge Card, paid for by the taxpayers, after winning the lottery, is obscene. What a waste of taxpayer money."

Unfortunately, there is nothing he can do about it! Leroy's blatant abuse of the social welfare program is completely legal.

Food stamp eligibility is based on gross income, but excludes liquid assets. Take a lucky guess what lottery winnings are considered?

As long as Fick's gross income stays below the eligibility requirement for food stamps, he can continue to abuse them as he sees fit.

Sounds like the biggest problem here, besides Leroy Fick (doesn't that just sound like a bad guy's name in a movie?), is the federal government's requirements for obtaining food stamps.

Fortunately, Sen. Jones is taking action, explaining:

"The department is asking the federal government for an immediate change (in policy). They're hoping this case will help the federal government act."

As for now, we think this Fick guy needs a visit from the ghost's of the lottery's past, present, and future!

There is already SO MUCH wasteful spending in the government, why continue to be a part of the problem when he could EASILY be a part of the solution.

Do U think this guy's greed is totally bogus or is it okay because it's legal?
