Real Housewives Having Real Trouble With Their Real Estate

real-housewives-keep-losing-homes.jpg

It's a tough economy out there.

The Real Housewives are feeling the pain too. At least a dozen stars from all the various RH shows, including OC, DC, Atlanta, and New Jersey, have faced some major real estate woes in the past three or so years.

Between bankruptcy, foreclosure, short sales, evictions, and going in default, it seems that many of the cast member have had to sell their houses at reduced prices.

A rep from Zillow says that RHONJ's Teresa and Joe Guidice "were nearly $11 million in debt when their Towaco, NJ home underwent foreclosure. The couple filed for bankrupty and fortunately, are facing their money problems in credit counseling, some of the other Housewives could benefit from."

Yup, times are definitely tough. Even for ladies who love to flaunt their swimming pools, diamonds, and furs. Guess it's time to buckle down and save some money. We can totally imagine a whole new spinoff, The Real Housewives Get REAL. Ha!

R. Kelly Flying Into Foreclosure

R Kelly Foreclosure

Uh oh!

R. Kelly is just like the rest of America!

After failing to pay mortgage payments since June of 2010, JPMorgan Chase Bank has filed foreclosure on the R&B star's Chicago mansion for $2.9 million!!

According to one of his close friends, R. Kelly was purposely missing payments to manipulate the bank into negotiating the loan.

Oh, R. Kelly! You're famous! They're not going to feel sorry for you.

When asked to comment, his spokesperson declined to comment on the topic at hand, but insisted the singer was in no financial trouble.

SEE! That is not going to help your case, R. Kelly!

OMGosh. It's one thing when a family truly can't afford to make payments due to unforeseen circumstances, but if you have the money, and we believe you do, don't try to cheat the system.

Surely he'll fix this if he wants to keep the house. If not, there are plenty more closets to stay in!

Carnie Wilson Graciously Accepts Fresh Diet's Free Meals

Carnie Wilson Fresh diet

On Monday we reported that Fresh Diet had extended an offer to former spokesperson Carnie Wilson for 6 months of free meals for her entire family in light of the news about her financial difficulty.

Today, we're happy to report that the Wilson Phillips singer has graciously accepted the diet company's offer on behalf of her family and herself.

Not only is she touched by the company's generosity, but seems eager to begin eating healthy again, saying:

"I'm overwhelmed with gratitude and deeply want to return to The Fresh Diet for my health and the health of my family."

Carnie was the face of the diet delivery service from February until November of 2010, but was released from contract after she gained weight by neglecting the Fresh Diet.

Currently, the singer's El Lay home is facing foreclosure unless she can pay off the remaining $1.7 million on her mortgage.

We're so sorry to hear about her tough economic situation, but at least she won't have to deal with the stress of picking and choosing healthy meals while she figures out her finances because they'll all be delivered — for FREE!

According To Ex-Manager, Nelly Is Broke And Uses Steroids

nelly-former-manager-claims-hes-broke-doing-steroids.jpg

Those are some harsh claims.

A man who is claiming he's Nelly's ex-manager is saying that the rapper is dealing with financial woes, is addicted to steroids, and even claims he abuses cocaine!

The manager, Slim, even goes on to say that Nelly is losing his home due to a gambling problem that has caused the rapper to be in severe debt.

Nothing like airing his dirty laundry!

Nelly has responded to the claims, by going on his Twitter and denying everything. He wrote:

I no some hoping that 4closure statement is tru but I'm sorry EPIC FAIL!

Don't nothing go in this body but fish, chicken, turkey, protein, ROZAY, ciroc remy and Budweiser. The only people who say that is people who don't work out. Anyone who goes to the gym knows what Nelly is doing is nothing.

Okay, besides the fact that Nelly refers to himself in the third person, we have a feeling that his former manager may be a disgruntled ex-employee who's trying to stir up some dramz.

Nelly is looking a little beefy lately, but hey, that could be due to working out at the gym, right??

Another Real Housewives Castmember May Be Losing Her Home!

real-housewives-of-orange-countys-peggy-tanous-home-in-foreclosure

Aaaaand another one bites the dust!

The Real Housewives of Orange County's Peggy Tanous isn't just the latest addition to the franchise, she's also the latest addition to the growing trend in the reality series for the castmembers whose home has gone into foreclosure!

Apparently, the BAC Home Loans Servicing, U.S. Bank National, and PNC Mortgage are trying to kick the reality star and her family out so they can sell the $1.3 million property, but now she's suing THEM, claiming that they didn't honor a loan modification agreement!

According the legal documents, Tanous and her husband Micah began to experience financial troubles due to the economy, and got behind on the monthly payments on their two loans, and Orange County property taxes. She claims, however, that they negotiated a payment plan and are abiding by it on all three cases, but the banks are now not honoring that!

The lawsuit reads:

“(Tanous) is determined to keep the property. It is her family's home, and she does not want to lose the Property in a foreclosure sale."

Well, we hope that for the sake of her family, that the lawsuit is accurate!

But if not, we imagine it will be time to find a new family home!

Times are tough, gurl! We'll keep our fingers crossed for you!

Prince Has 20 Acres In Foreclosure

Prince To Lose Property To Auction

Bummer, Prince!

In Chanhassen, Prince's one time home and 20 acres of land is in foreclosure, and it'll be auctioned off really soon unless he pays off the $386k he owes on the mortgage!

The auction is set for May 13th, but the singer still has time to reclaim it if he pays the debts. There is no word on whether or not he will, or just let it go to auction.

Here's a small bit about the property:

The land, where Prince had a home until it was razed in late 2005, is valued at $1.15 million, according to county records. That's down from more than $1.5 million just a year earlier. Prince bought the property in 1994 for $605,000.

An undated aerial photo of the property on the Carver County property information web page shows little more than a tennis court and a small building near the driveway entrance on Galpin Boulevard.

Prince, we hope the tour is going well! Isn't there a little extra scratch from that? Maybe a bit of it that could go towards settling debts so you don't have to lose property??

Just sayin'!

Sad! Nate Dogg’s House Foreclosed Two Days After His Death

family-of-nate-dogg-believes-he-passed-away-from-complications-of-stroke__opt.jpg

His poor family. Not only do they have to deal with his sudden death, but now they have to deal with this sudden financial burden. Sad!

Only two days after rapper Nate Dogg tragically and suddenly lost his life to multiple strokes, the bank came and took his Californian house from his family as it had gone into foreclosure. Nate reportedly hadn't paid his mortgage in over a year and the bank just couldn't afford the loss anymore.

What a trying time for his loved ones. We're sure Nate didn't intend to leave his family with this - sometimes life just takes a rough turn for the worst.

We're sending our best and condolences to Nate's family and hope that they get through this difficult time the best they can.
