Sharon Wyatt of General Hospital is in trouble.
After appearing on more than 12,000 episodes of the soap opera, Sharon has been diagnosed with osteonecrosis, or “bone death.” She believes she got it from the drug Fosamax, which is supposed to strengthen bones, not make them brittle as it allegedly did with Wyatt.
Sharon will undergo surgery on her jaw on Friday.
"I just want my jaw back," says Wyatt. "To tell you the truth, I like the way I look."
Wyatt’s lawyer claims that Fosamax actively blocks bones from regenerating, causing them to decay.
They will wait until after the surgery to decide whether or not to sue the company.
We hope the surgery goes well!
