Preparing Your Kids Pets For Back-To-School

OMG, guys! Summer is almost over!

As humans prepare for the fall by getting bummed out, shopping for the next season and going back to school or work, it's important to help our furry loved ones transition as well!

Here are some tips on how to help your pet beat the "Back to School Blues" from the CEO and Founder of Camp Bow Wow Heidi Ganahl:

1. Durning the summer you (and possibly your kids) have more time to spend with your pet. Before the school season begins, provide your pets with some “alone time” by separating your kids from your pet for a while each day.

2. Give him/her a blanket or t-shirt that has your scent on it. The familiar smell may calm him down, while giving him something to cuddle while everyone is gone. (AW!!)

3. Leave some interactive toys for your pet to play with while you’re away.

4. Ask your kids to spend some quality time with their pet when they return home from school.

5. If you are going to be out of the house for many hours, bring your dog to a nearby Camp Bow Wow location, OR If you prefer to keep your dog at home, hire a Home Buddies Caregiver to spend time with your pup

MySpace Is About To Be NoSpace, Layoffs Coming THIS Week!

MySpace For Sale

Yep, you read correctly. MySpace IS still around.

The former internet phenom is going on sale for $30 million, which pales in comparison to the whopping $580 mil it took to start it.

Those vying for the company include Specific Media, Golden Gate Capital, Activision CEO Bobby Kotick, and the site's co-founders - Chris DeWolfe and Tom Anderson.

With the sale will also come a 50 percent layoff rate leaving the cyber giant with only 200 employees.

Looks like it's withering away, but for old time's sake, we hope Tom gets it!

World's First Dog Fitted With Four Prosthetic Paws

AW!

We are pleased to introduce Nakio!

He is the first dog to be fitted with a complete set of bionic paws that work naturally to allow him to run, jump and even swim.

Nakio received the paws after his own were severely hurt from stepping into an ice puddle as a puppy. The prosthetics were designed and fitted in a pioneering procedure by Martin Kaufmann, founder of Orthopets.

DNA Test To Confirm Existence Of Bigfoot

bigfoot

Maybe?

Cali Bigfoot investigators were shocked over Memorial Day weekend when they found strange markings and hair on their pickup truck windows.

Now, they're hoping DNA tests will prove once and for all the existence of the legendary man-bear-pig man-beast.

"On the passenger side window, when I first saw it, I almost threw up,"

said the weak stomached Jeffrey Gonzalez, an AT&T electronics technician and founder of the Sanger Paranormal Society.

Gonzalez and several others were in California's Sierra National Forest searching for evidence to confirm the reality of the creature. When it started to snow at their campsite, they were forced to leave two of their vehicles behind.

Mark Zuckerberg's Wardrobe Was The Only Authentic Part Of The Social Network, Says Mark Zuckerberg!

mark-zuckerberg-says-the-social-network-only-got-his-wardrobe-right

We can understand why he'd be so defensive! The film doesn't portray him in the most positive of lights, now does it?

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently spoke out about smash film The Social Network, which chronicles the creation and subsequent legal scandals surrounding the website, and he claims that although he likes the movie, the only truthful aspects they got right about his character are his wardrobe!

He says:

"I think that they got every single T-shirt that they had the Mark Zuckerberg character wearing right. I think I actually own those T-shirts. And they got sandals right and all that. But, I mean, there are hugely basic things that they got wrong. They made it seem like my whole motivation for building Facebook was so I could get girls, right? And they completely left out the fact that my girlfriend, I've been dating since before I started Facebook, right?"

Ha!

We'll humor you, bb, but we tend to think that there are perhaps a few more similarities to real life in that movie than you'd care to admit!

What do U think?? Is The Social Network fact or fiction??

We Knew It Was A Hoax!! Called It!

Awwww! This is kind of disappointing! But expected!

A little while back we posted this charming little video of a man proposing to his girlfriend (above) using a variety of synchronized iPhones and a MacBook Pro, and even then we speculated about its authenticity!

Today, however, it's been confirmed that the clip is a hoax, and was made to promote Thinkmodo, a business venture specializing in discovering the marketing potential of viral videos!

Thinkmodo founder Michael Krivicka reveals:

“Since viral videos are both art and science, we wanted to merge both elements to introduce predictability to the videos’ success. As part of our ’study’ we staged an elaborate marriage proposal in Central Park and fused tech and romance to see how well each would be received if merged. Would men be drawn by the awesome iPhone app (which unfortunately doesn’t exist) or would women cry and wonder why Frank threw the ring (which was never in the box)? Since our video was covered by outlets like Glamour as well as CNET, we learned that, contrary to conventional wisdom, content can be made to appeal to both sexes without lessening the appeal to each.”

Inneresting!

But we have to admit, we doubt that anyone really took it seriously!

A lot of factors didn't add up at the end! But at the end of the day, it was still cute and romantic!

What do U think?? Did U think it the video was legit?
