Thank goodness!

This was COMPLETELY unacceptable, and we're at least relieved to know that it's not being tolerated!

After Cincinnati Fox News anchor Tricia Macke garnered some completely-justified heat for mocking MSNBC host Rachel Maddow, who is openly gay, by calling her "an angry young man" on her Facebook page, the WXIX station's management did the right thing by not only suspending her from her position, but had her issue an apology for her blatant homophobia!

The station released the following statement:

Even though The Daily Show and The Colbert Report dedicate a combined five hours of television a week to criticizing the political system and the media outlets reporting on it, the hosts do not intend to influence voters.

Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday night and when the host brought up their political influence over a particular demographic of viewers, the comedians played it coy.

Former Fox News personality and anti-Gleek Glenn Beck has launched his own line of jeans and t-shirts.

The conservative commentator came up with the idea in 2011 while researching fashion industry advertising, specifically Levi's, that celebrated protests in Europe and the Middle East to sell their products.

Stephen Colbert co-hosted Good Morning America on Tuesday, but made sure to promote his newest book, America Again: Re-Becoming The Greatness We Never Weren’t, in the process.

He took a break from the anchor desk to sit down for an interview (above) with George Stephanopoulos and discussed a variety of issues like the upcoming presidential debate, New York's un-American soda ban, and fixing the economy.

Perhaps the most important topic was Jon Stewart's debate against Bill O'Reilly this Saturday.
