Good-night, I Am Legend prequel; And flights of executives sing thee to thy rest!

After years of inactivity, the proposed prequel to Will Smith's 2007 vampire movie I Am Legend is officially dead.

Here's what I Am Legend director Francis Lawrence said when asked about the prequel:

"No, I don't think that's ever going to happen."

Don't worry about it, Will Smith fans! You've still got Men in Black III to look forward to…and maybe even some Independence Day sequels, assuming those end up happening!

If the studio execs out there were truly smart, they'd also put the Final Destination franchise out of its misery. Just sayin'!

Last week, we heard the exciting news that Beyonce's new album is expected to drop in June.

- Danielle Polanco and Luam were 2 of the choreographers working on video (8 or 9 in total)

- Theme of Girl is female empowerment/girl power

- Beat driven by a sample of a popular club song

- Video will feature 100+ girls

- Video is "presumably being shot on the 13th"
