New ISIS Propaganda Video Includes Shots Of Times Square

Police say there is no specific threat.

ISIS has released a new propaganda video that references New York City.

The clip began circulating the internet on Wednesday, showing footage of what appears to be a suicide bomber constructing an explosive for a belt.

Shots of Times Square are spliced in-between those of a faceless individual building a suicide belt. The footage shows taxis, crowds, and notable NYC storefronts.

The video did NOT show a bomber or radicalist in the city itself. But the clip did include video of French President François Hollande speaking after last week's tragic Paris attacks.

NYPD Deputy Commissioner of Public Information Stephen Davis acknowledges that this appears to be a threat towards the Big Apple, saying in a statement:

"While some of the video footage is not new, the video reaffirms the message that New York City remains a top terrorist target."

He made it clear that the police are treating the matter incredibly seriously, even though there is no word of any immediate threat, continuing:

U2's Paris Concert & Live HBO Special Probably Canceled After Terror Attacks

Filed under: Music MinuteBonoSad SadFrancophiliaViolenceScary!Viral: News

Bono's band was scheduled to play in the city on Saturday and Sunday.

UPDATE 9:40 PM EST: U2 has officially canceled their Saturday show. The band issued a statement, saying:

"As a result of the ongoing state of emergency across France, the U2 Paris concert scheduled for 14th November will not be going ahead as planned. U2 and Live Nation, along with HBO who were due to live broadcast the Saturday concert, are fully resolved to go ahead with this show at an appropriate time."

The group continued to give their condolences for all the lives lost during the attacks, adding:

"We watched in disbelief and shock at the unfolding events in Paris and our hearts go out to all the victims and their families across the city tonight. We are devastated at the loss of life at the Eagles of Death Metal concert and our thoughts and prayers are with the band and their fans. And we hope and pray that all of our fans in Paris are safe"

They have not said whether or not HBO will broadcast their Sunday show, or if the concert will even happen at all.

Paris is reeling from multiple terror attacks on Friday.

Various locations in France's capital were targeted, including explosions at the Stade de France stadium during a soccer game, a tragic hostage situation at Le Bataclan concert hall where American band Eagles of Death Metal was playing, as well as several shootings.

Sadly, over 100 people have been killed.

In the wake of the horrible situation, President François Hollande shut the nation's borders and declared a state of emergency.

Reports reveal that on Saturday the city will be closing grocery stories, city hall, and other places where large crowds can gather, in case there are any follow-up incidents.

So, it makes sense that U2's Paris concert for their iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE tour might not happen in light of the horrific events.

A source close to Bono's band told Entertainment Tonight that they "do not see how the show could happen tomorrow."

100+ Reported To Be Dead In Paris Attacks: What We Know So Far

no title

Late Friday night in Paris, terrorists launched coordinated attacks — shootings, suicide attacks, and bombings — that reportedly left over 100 dead.

Locations include multiple restaurants, the Bataclan concert hall during a concert of American rock band The Eagles Of Death Metal, and the Stade de France during a soccer match — at which French President François Hollande was in attendance.

President Hollande escaped and declared a state of emergency, temporarily closing the nation's borders. U2's Saturday concert in the nation's capital has been canceled as a result of the events.

In the States, New York City is increasing security after the attacks; the NYPD's Strategic Response Group is patrolling key areas such as Times Square.

Police in D.C. have also sent extra personnel to the French Embassy and other high-profile areas. The Department stressed that these maneuvers are cautionary, and not because of an immediate threat.

President Barack Obama and several other world leaders voiced their condemnation of the attacks. Obama pledged the full support of the United States.

Many celebrities also tweeted heartfelt messages to the people of Paris.

French police have confirmed that security forces raided the Bataclan — four attackers were reportedly killed. Three of the gunmen blew themselves up with suicide belts when authorities moved in on the theater. Over 100 are reported dead in the concert hall alone.

The head of Paris police says all the attackers across the capital are believed to be dead, but officials are still on the lookout for any accomplices.

No group so far has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
