sunny and bo obama get ready for white house state dinner

Last night, President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama hosted a State Dinner in honor of French president Francois Hollande!

And of course it wouldn't be an exclusive White House party without the First Dogs of the United States!

Sunny and Bo Obama looked ready to chow down as they prepared for the dinner and claimed their seats ahead of time!

Bo was quite dapper as he wore a couple of ribbons while Sunny was sporting some serious bling for the extravagant event!

We're guessing these two didn't actually get to sit at the table for the fancy feast, however, they both were definitely dressed to impress!

France Legalizes Same-Sex Marriage!

Vive la France!!

The country that represents romantic ideology to so many now represents REAL LOVE FOR ALL!

After months of harsh debate, Tuesday saw lawmakers approve the bill to legalize same-sex marriage in France, causing both cause for celebration and protest.

The bill, which will also give same-sex couples the right to adopt, won in the lower house with a 331-225 final vote. President Francois Hollande will now have to sign the bill before it becomes law, but nobody's really betting against it.

Opponents do hope they can block the legislation by sending it to Constitutional Council, but until that happens France currently stands as the ninth European nation to approve of same-sex marriage.

We're getting there, world! We're getting there!!

Unkle Karl doth protest too much!

Karl Lagerfeld is recanting the statement he made to Marie Claire Spain.

You know, the one about France's president Francois Hollande is an "idiot"?

The designer insists he said no such thing, explaining

Karl Lagerfeld Is NOT Happy With France's "Idiot" President

When Karl Lagerfeld speaks, the world listens!

Well, the fashion world anyway.

The blunt frontman for Chanel was recently asked, in Marie Claire Spain, about the newest taxes on France’s wealthiest citizens, and he called French President Francois Hollande an "idiot."

The Prez recently decided to tax the income of people who make over $1.31 million, or 1 million euros, by 75%, in hopes of helping the lower class.

The taxes along with high labor costs have sent unemployment in France to over 10 percent.

Unkle Karl called it a "disaster," and added:

"Outside of fashion, jewellery, perfume and wine, France isn't competitive. The rest of our products don't sell. Who buys French cars? I don't."

Preach!

Hmm…Maybe Unkle Karl should run for Prez next time!

He certainly would make the position more chic!

French Protestors Delay John Galliano Fashion Show

Paris Fashion Week may be the most important thing that's going in the eyes of a fashionista, but not if you actually live in the country.

On Sunday, thousands of angry French men and women descended upon the capital to protest President Francois Hollande's new budget idea, which ultimately caused the John Galliano presentation to be delayed by an hour.

Talk about fashionably late!

Luckily, the brand’s managing director, Dominique de Longevialle, got everything together despite all the fuss, he said:

"Everything fell back into place, so it’s all good. There are lots of people. I’m very, very pleased."

At least Bill Gaytten actually got to show his collection unlike some people.
