Oh, this is gonna be good.
James Franco's documentary about his time working on General Hospital will be one of the HIGHlights coming to the 11th annual Tribeca Film Festival this year.
But it's not just some boring behind-the-scenes flick. Oh no, James' movie also has a bit of a "thriller" twist to it and is said to be "a bit tongue in cheek."
LOLz, WHAT?! This movie sounds like it's going to blow our minds!
The director of programming for the festival already saw the film (lucky!) and this is how she described it:
"He’s kind of constructed this really interesting and well-crafted film about that experience that plays with the boundaries of documentary. It’s a bit tongue in cheek, as James himself can be. He’s a bit enigmatic and the film is as well."
And the press release for the film makes it sound even more crazy:
"While shooting a key GH episode, Franco brought along a film crew. TFF award winner Ian Olds (Fixer, 2009) then repurposed Franco's behind-the-scenes footage into an experimental psychological thriller set amid the spectacle of a celebrity's escalating paranoia, creating a mind-bending exploration of identity."
So, basically it's going to be weird, mysterious, and intriguing - just like Mr. Franco himself! Ha!
If you wanna check out Francophrenia yourself, you're going to have to head over to NY to get yourself a ticket. It just might be worth it!
