Marvel Once Again Trying To Resurrect The Punisher…As A TV Series!
Maybe they'll have better luck on the small screen!
After releasing two less-than-profitable Punisher movies in theaters, Marvel has decided to bring the franchise to TV!
We've just learned that Fox is putting together a series about the comic book character, which will be a procedural drama that focuses "on New York City detective Frank Castle, who seeks justice on the side as a merciless vigilante named The Punisher."
The project is being developed by Criminal Minds executive producer/writer Ed Bernero, which definitely bodes well for it, and so far Ed's been given a pilot commitment from Fox.
We're not 100% sure if this will fare better than the movies, but maybe it'll appeal to the same audiences who love Dexter! We shall see!
