This is absolutely devastating.
My Chemical Romance drummer Michael Pedicone, who replaced Bob Bryar in March of 2010, has been fired from the band after he was caught stealing after Friday night's show in Washington.
Guitarist Frank Lero announced in a statement yesterday:

This is kind of odd.
American Idol would NOT be the first place you'd look to find a My Chemical Romance song, but it looks like the band's new single Sing will be used as music during Idol promos.
Here's what MCR frontman Gerard Way had to say about it:
"We don't know for sure, but any kind of infiltration is great, so the offer was pretty much a no-brainer. It's something a lot of people are going to see and they'll hear the music which is the most important thing."
More from guitarist Frank Lero:
"I think it would be really cool if an actual band was heard on the biggest music TV show."
My Chemical Romance seems a bit out of place for the show, but maybe there's something cool about that. Guess we'll see when promos start airing.
