Josh Brolin Will Morph Into Clive Owen For Sin City: A Dame To Kill For!

josh-brolin-cast-in-sin-city-2-a-dame-to-kill-for

Oh man, you guys!

After seven years of anticipation, we FINALLY know what Clive Owen's character in Sin City looked like before he had facial reconstruction surgery!

Here's a hint: it's A LOT like Josh Brolin!

That's right, fresh on the heels of the news that Joseph Gordon Levitt dropped out of The Guardians of the Galaxy casting race to secure himself a role in the long-awaited sequel to 2005 noir smash, A Dame To Kill For, the Gangster Squad star - who recently got himself into a little trouble with the law for public intoxication - has also joined the cast of the Robert Rodriguez adaptation of Frank Miller's graphic novel series as a younger version of Dwight!

For those of you unfamiliar with the first film, the character mentioned in the original film that he had recently gone under the knife to disguise himself from authorities, and as the vignettes that comprise these films tend to be non-linear and out of order, it makes sense that both actors will get to appear in the same role in the same movie!

As Rodriguez and Miller said in a statement:

Joseph Gordon-Levitt Rejects Guardians Of The Galaxy Over A Dame To Kill For!

Okay, so we have some bad news, folks!

But don't worry! We'll get it out of the way first, so we can get straight to the GOOD stuff!

Although we were super excited to hear that Joseph Gordon-Levitt was in the running for the role of Peter Quill in one of the new Marvel super-hero movies currently being developed, Guardians of the Galaxy, we're sad to report that the actor has bowed out of the casting race due to scheduling conflicts!

Oh, but what scheduling conflicts might THOSE be?!

Only the much-anticipated, long-awaited follow-up to Robert Rodriguez's Sin City, A Dame To Kill For!

That's right!

The super sexy actor will apparently be playing the role

Gerard Butler NOT Yelling SPARTAA In 300 Sequel!

But King Leonidas, whatever will we look at if your glistening, airbrushed, gynormous abs aren't rippling onscreen?!

It seems we will have to to be excited for MORE than just sexy, hard-bodied man-flesh in the sequel to Frank Miller's 300, as Gerard Butler will NOT be returning to reprise his role as the fearless Spartan leader!

Gerard recently broke our hearts, stating:

It Wasn't A Terrible Dream: Sin City 2 Coming Next October

Sin City 2 A Dame To Kill For Jessica Alba Rosario Dawson

Oooooh!! This should be…. monochromatic!!

Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller are striking while the iron is hot seven years after the iron cooled off!

We already reported Sin City 2: A Dame To Kill For was green lit. Now Dimension is setting a tentative release date of October 04, 2013!

That leaves plenty of time to for the filmmakers to conjure up an interesting script a scene where Jessica Alba, Alexis Bledel, and Roasario Dawson do a three-way spit swap!!

Get to work, guys!!!

Yeah Oscar Power! The Departed Screenwriter To Work On Sin City 2!

sin city 2 gets the departed screenwriter

Looks like Robert was telling the truth! This REALLY is happening!

For thousands of years several years now, Sin City fans have been very eagerly awaiting a sequel, which was beginning to seem like it would never happen.

Then earlier this month, Robert Rodriguez gave the world some updates on Sin City 2, and assured us that production would begin as soon as the script was done.

Now, we've learned that Robert and Sin City director Frank Miller have brought on Oscar-winning screenwriter William Monahan, whose script for The Departed won the award for best adapted screenplay in 2006.

Monahan has been hired to supplement a recently completed draft, which was written by Frank Miller himself.

Sounds like this is DEF the guy for the job! We're glad to hear that some serious progress is being made on this project!

Good luck, William! Make Sin City fans everywhere proud!
