New Frankenweenie Poster

Hey everybody! Take a look at the new poster for Frankenweenie!

We'll admit that even though he's dead, he's still pretty adorbs!

The upcoming Tim Burton stop-animation flick is about a boy who re-animates his dog after her dies from being hit by a car.

Looks very Burtonian to us!

What do U think of the gothic-vibe to this kids tale (which was actually a short project for Burton in 1984)??

Check Out The Trailer For Tim Burton's Frankenweenie!

Dead dogs aren't cool. Unless they are animated and directed by Tim Burton, of course!

The moviemaker's newest feature is a Nightmare Before Christmas-esque family film about a boy who brings his dead dog back to life with a science kit and it's called Frankenweenie.

Awwww….ew? In true Tim Burton style, it looks as creepy as it does heartwarming.

Check out the trailer above and let's all be thankful that Vivid didn't think of this title first, then hire Ron Jeremy to star in it.

Do U think Frankenweenie looks good?

So cute…and creepy!

Back in October, we got a first look at Tim Burton's next animated film Frankenweenie, which is based on a live-action short film of the same name that he directed back in 1984.

As we mentioned before, the story revolves around a boy who loses his dog, but then brings him back to life using his science kit, like Mary Shelley's Frankenstein!

Now, a new image from the upcoming black-and-white Frankenfilm

First Look At Tim Burton's Frankenweenie!!

Frankenweenie One
Frankenweenie Two

Check out the two pics above to see the first look at Tim Burton's next animated flick Frankenweenie!

Not only does it have that adorable nostalgic feel to it (that black and white looks INcredible), but we're positive it's going to be just as twisted as it will be heart-warming.

The story, if you haven't seen the short, revolves around a boy who loses his best friend — his dog. Using his science kit, he decided to bring his dog back to life, just like Mary Shelley's Frankenstein!

Tim Burton Talks Dark Shadows!

Excellent! We have a feeling he's really going to make this one something special!

Tim Burton, who has an exhibit launching at the El Lay County Museum of Art right now in honor, opened up about his plans for the film adaptation of Dark Shadows, and thankfully will not be recreating the disaster that was Alice in Wonderland and doing it in 3D, but will instead go for a more dark, ethereal tone to honor the original!

He explains:

“I have no plans for [3D]. I loved doing “Alice” in 3D. Frankeweenie, gonna do that in 3D. There’s people like, ‘Everything’s gonna be in 3D,’ or ‘I hate 3D!’ I think people should have a choice. I don’t think it should be forced on anybody. At the same time, it’s great, some of it. It’s been hard to kind of come here because I’m just starting, and it’s a weird tone and it’s a lot of actors and, you know, we’re not starting with the simple stuff; we’re sort of getting right in there. You like to kind of sneak up on it a little bit, but this one we just kind of slammed right into it…I’m early into it because it’s a funny tone, and that’s part of what the vibe of the show is, and there’s something about it that we want to get. But when you look at it, it’s pretty bad. I’m hoping that it will be — it’s early days, let’s put it — I’m very intrigued by the tone. It’s a real ethereal tone we’re trying to go for and I don’t know yet.”

Inneresting!

The show is certainly its own level of bizarre, so we imagine it must be difficult to tight-rope the line between camping it up and full-blown parody!

But if anyone can strike the right balance, it's him!

We want to see him go old-school Burton and bring the GOTHIC big-time this time around! Especially with the amount of talent this flick's cast has!

What do U think?? Are U looking forward to Dark Shadows??
