We were not impressed when we saw Claire Danes at the Costume Designers Guild Awards on Tuesday night.
The actress wore a Lanvin metallic shift dress that had a whole lotta fraying going on around the sleeves.
We found a picture of what the dress looked like on the runway and there weren't nearly as many threads.
Claire also copied the model's slicked back hairdo, but we can't say we were a fan of that either.

The folks at Nina Ricci really needs to stop handing out clothes to Nicole Kidman because nothing good has come of it.
Case in point: Saturday night at the Vanguard Awards in Santa Barbara.
Nicole wore a white long sleeve wrap dress by the French fashion label, which was brutally hemmed, and Pierre Hardy sandals that clashed with her nude belt.
We all know she can do SO much better than this.
Hopefully Nic will dig herself out of this frumpy slump — and soon!

On Wednesday night Demi Moore and hubby Ashton Kutcher made an appearance at GQ's The Gentlemen's Ball in New York City.
The soon to be 48 year old donned a black and gold Balmain dress that would have looked great if it weren't for that terribly frayed hemline!
Oh well, at least her hip isn't missing this time.

Why, Gillian Anderson, why?
The X Files actress attended the premiere of Never Let Me Go in London wearing an unfortunate excuse for a dress.
Everything's OK until you get to her knees, past that it's just a mess.
Her unraveled hem is giving us flashbacks to Lindsay Lohan's shoddy shortening job in Cannes.
Let this be a lesson to all celebs: leave tailoring to the professionals.
