Reunited and it feels SO good!
Later this month, Seth Meyers is leaving Saturday Night Live and heading down the hall to his very own show!
So who will be the bandleader for Late Night with Seth Meyers??
None other than fellow SNL alum Fred Armisen!
The Portlandia star will also serve as the show’s “curator,” according to a tweet that Seth sent out. He also shared the first pic of Fred and the band, announcing:

The Super Bowl was filled with mediocre ads last night, and a lot of them seemed to be pushing more for nostalgia and heart strings than actual entertaining.
That being said, there were still a few gems that slipped through — and one of them is Honda's ad starring Bruce Willis!
We can imaging people were sitting around silent, wondering what the hell was going on on with this ad, because the reveal is super slow… and it's that waiting that kills us!
Fred Armisen is one lucky man! LOLz!
Watch it (above)!

When Saturday Night Live returns for its 39th season this Fall, there will be some MAJOR names missing from the opening roll call, including Jason Sudekis, Bill Hader and Fred Armisen.
Seth Meyers however WILL be back at his Weekend Update desk! The affianced funny man is set to return for the first half of the season, before taking the Late Night reigns from Jimmy Fallon.
Seth, who is also SNL's head writer, admits that the newer cast members have some big shoes to fill but believes they have what it takes to make themselves into household names. Seth recently stated:

Even though we'd recently reported the possibility and it was pretty clear from the hilarious and heartwarming send-off song
Fred Armisen Ian Rubbish played on the SNL season finale this Spring, Fred has now totes admitted he will DEF not be returning to the show. He says:
"I think it's clear. I didn't do any kind of official announcement, but I really felt like it was obvious."
After 11 seasons on a weekly program notorious for all-nighters, we’d be taking a break to catch up on sleep and our DVR catalog and online shopping.
But that’s why we’re not Fred Armisen!!!
Fred is actually leaving his weekend engagement in part to focus on his IFC sketch show, Portlandia, now in its third season and geared up for two more, saying:

SNL isn't going down the tubes, guys!
Sure, with the departure of Bill Hader and Fred Armisen, it seems like there's no hope next season. Stefon will always be in our hearts, but that doesn't mean we should stop watching!
We've got 6 AH-mazing reasons why you should still tune into SNL next season with its remaining cast members.

As we confirmed earlier, this past Saturday's Saturday Night Live was the end of an era for both Fred Armisen and Bill Hader. The two said their final farewells on the AH-mazing season finale.
There had been some speculation that Jason Sudeikis might leave as well, but was this all just a part of the rumor mill — until now!
Jay Pharoah, the HIGHlarious Will Smith and Obama impersonator, tweeted the following on Sunday before hastily deleting it:

With Fred Armisen, Jason Sudeikis and Bill Hader having confirmed their exits from Saturday Night Live after this season, we knew last night's finale was going to be equal parts emotional and HIGHlarious…but boy, did they give both to their viewers HARD or WHAT?!
While there were many great moments during the Ben Affleck-hosted edition of the long-running NBC sketch comedy show, we think everyone can agree that Hader's final performance as the AH-MAY-ZING fan-favorite Stefon REALLY took the cake…especially when what started out as a relatively standard Weekend Update bit (featuring our beloved Amy Poehler!!!) descended in what we can only describe as MADNESS!
Oh, and just WAIT until you see how Anderson Cooper works into it all (above)!
But before we sob ourselves to sleep and forget entirely that Ben Affleck was even there for the night of good-byes, be sure to check out his opening monologue, for which he brings his wife Jennifer Garner on-stage to discuss his 'marriage' comments during his Oscar acceptance speech…AFTER THE JUMP!!!
