The Couch family can NOT stay out of trouble!
On Monday, Fred Couch, father of "affluenza teen" Ethan Couch, faced charges for impersonating a police officer back in 2014.
This is just one of many charges the family has faced before AND after Ethan killed four people in a drunk driving accident.
According to the Star-Telegram, the jury has been selected and testimony began Tuesday morning. If Mr. Couch is convicted, he could spend 180 days in the county jail and/or be slapped with a $2,000 fine.
At the time of his arrest, Fred misidentified himself as a police officer after cops responded to a disturbance call involving the perp. Ethan's dad said his "police stuff" was in his truck after officers questioned his bold lie.
Obviously, authorities were able to quickly determine Fred wasn't who he said he was.
We'll keep you updated as this strange case progresses…
