This comes as no surprise considering they have championed for corporate responsibility in the past, but is definitely a nice boost to the movement.

Dear Target…You Win Some, You Lose Some!

Filed under: Gay Gay GayLegal Matters

canvass for a cause wins target lawsuit

Last month, we were NOT happy to learn that Target Corp had pressed charges against Canvass For A Cause, a pro-gay marriage group whom were canvassing outside Target's San Diego County stores.

Now, we're VERY happy to report that a San Diego Superior Court judge has ruled that the pro-gay marriage group CAN continue to canvass in front of Target stores…as longs as they stay 30 feet from the entrance.

Here's what Canvass for a Cause executive director Tress Watson has called the ruling:

"A win for people who believe in free speech.”

We totes agree with that!

As we said back in March, all the group's doing is attempting to educate the public on why legalization of gay marriage is so important for the LGBT community - and why Target's decision to use its money to take a stand against that right is WRONG!

We support you, Canvass for a Cause!

EQUAL RIGHTS FOR ALL!
