This is fantastic!
On Tuesday night, Chelsea Clinton and hubby Marc Mezvinsky attended a Friendfactor benefit in NYC, where they spoke up on behalf of gay marriage.
Here's what Chelsea had to say in support of marriage equality while at the event:
"I am proud to be here to support [Friendfactor founder Brian Elliot]. I certainly believe that all of my friends, as Marc and I did, should have the right to marry their best friends."
"I certainly believe that those of us who are straight cannot expect our gay friends to do this on their own. And I certainly expect our straight friends to help us achieve that for all New Yorkers, for all Americans, and for all the children that at least Marc and I hope to have someday."
And for those who are unaware of Friendfactor, here's a description of their organization as written on their website:
Friendfactor is pioneering a new model of online organizing that will bring new supporters to the gay* rights movement. The online platform has the power to reach millions of friends.
What a wonderful cause! Thank you for coming out and showing your support, Chelsea and Marc!
EQUAL RIGHTS FOR ALL!
