NASA Launch Photobombed By Frog! See The AH-Mazing Pic Here!

nasa launch frog

Talk about perfect timing! This is seriously a one-in-a-million photograph.

Last week, NASA's Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer (LADEE) spacecraft blasted off into space!

During liftoff, a photo was captured by one of NASA's remote cameras and it showed something pretty incredible: a frog being launched into the air by the force of the rocket's thrusters.

NASA confirmed the frog photo, saying:

"The photo team confirms the frog. The condition of the frog, however, is uncertain."

Hmm, yeah, we're not sure that frog survived being that close to a rocket blast.

It's theorized that the little froggy was that close to the launch pad because there's a pool of water around the pad used to dampen noise and protect the pad from blast damage.

The frog must've been just hanging out in the water at the wrong time. Poor little froggy…

Still, that's one AH-mazing photo!!

frog fear wins man money

When Paul Marinaccio was a young boy living in Italy, he was once chased by an angry man who was holding several bullfrogs.

A random, terrifying encounter, and enough to leave him scarred for life.

So when developers of a subdivision near his house in upstate New York began draining water onto his property he was in for a real bad time.

Because it was the perfect breeding ground for frogs!

The frogs would swarm his driveway and lawn, forcing him to be a prisoner in his own home.

So he sued the Town of Clarence and the developer in a seven year, $300,000 lawsuit.

He said in court:

angry birds to hit one billion downloads

The crazy part is that they'll probably make it happen!

After passing the 250 million download mark for their Angry Birds games, Finnish company Rovio has their eyes set on one billion downloads!

Here's what the head of Rovio's brand marketing department, Wibe Wagemans, had to say about their ambitious goal with Angry Birds:

"This is something that even six months ago was unthinkable."

Guess we'll see if they're able to reach their goal before the next big app featuring bothered animals comes along.

Will it be Pissed Off Pandas? Aggravated Alligators? Furious Frogs?

…Enraged Emus??? LOLz!

Dissecting Frogs In Science Class Can Be Slightly Traumatizing Replaced By Software

Dissecting Frogs

Hooray!

Remember when you has to dissect a frog in 7th grade and you started to cry cause all you could think about was the life of this poor frog and how it had to end just so you could stab it a few times and later forget everything from that class other than the fact that you had to leave because you might throw up?

No? Well maybe that was just us.

But a lot of people have had similar experiences. That's why the The Animal Welfare Institute in Washington offered free software to the first 25 schools in America that agree to end dissections of real animals, and as of this morning they report four schools have taken them up on it.

We hope this catches on across the country.
