Jennifer Connelly Steals A Pineapple & Baguettes! She's On The Run!

jennifer connelly steals fruit

Jennifer Connelly is a beautiful, talented person. She stars in crazy amazing movies, and apparently she can go for the touchdown with a very large and spiky fruit — a pineapple!

Check out this absurd pic of the rad actress making a 'run for it' on the set of her upcoming movie Shelter, which was written and directed by her husband Paul Bettany!

In the flick, she plays a homeless woman, which explains why she's so thin and why acquiring food might make her want to run and protect it! Especially because the scene required her to steal both the pineapple and the bag of baguettes!

Sounds like quite the role… and it must totally be keeping her healthy!

LOLz!

Get In Our Mouths! Raw Vegan & Gluten-Free Carrot Cake With Cashew Cream Cheese Frosting!

I love carrot cake! It’s one of the desserts I wish I could eat for every meal (it does have vegetables, right?) Here is a version where you get the entire flavor without the guilt. FitPerez fan Victoria from Stockton, California requested a 4 ingredient recipe for a healthy, low-carb cake – and here you go!

It’s also raw (no baking required) gluten-free and vegan! Give it a try and let me know what you think!

Carrot Cake

2 large carrots, peeled and chopped
1 ½ cups buckwheat, oat or almond flour
2 cups dried fruit (I use ½ dates, ½ dried pineapple, but experiment with raisins, apricots, etc)
½ cup dried coconut

Add all ingredients to food processor, and pulse until combined and sticks together. For this recipe, you can pour into an 8 in round pan (I like the spring-form type for easy removal) or lined cupcake tins. Spoon icing on top of carrot mixture, spread lightly, and put pan in refrigerator until hardened; at least 2 hours. Garnish with a dusting of fresh ground cinnamon or nutmeg, and its ready to serve!

Cashew Frosting

2 cups raw cashews, soaked in water for at least 2 hours
2 tablespoons coconut oil
2 tablespoons lemon or fresh orange juice
½ cup maple syrup or agave

Combine all ingredients in blender, until smooth. Add water (if needed) 1 teaspoon at a time, to get a frosting like consistency. Set-aside until ready to use.

Ha! This cat sure isn't a fan of fruit! Or certain berries at least.

This cat's owner offers him a tastyyyyy looking strawberry… so red and juicy and perfect.

But after one sniff, this cat was clearly NOT interested! Look at that face!

We love how he winds up his paw, preparing for the ultimate smack down!

Then… WHAM! Get that strawberry outta here!

Who do you think you are? Bringing strawberries around here?! LOLz!

Check out the video (above) of a pretty kitty smacking down some tasty food!

ashton kutcher jobs fruit diet hospital scary

Back at Sundance, we had heard from Ashton Kutcher himself that he landed in the hospital for two days before filming jOBS because he adopted a diet that Steve Jobs was once on — a fruitarian diet that consisted almost entirely of fruit!

It kicked him right in the pancreas, and left him feeling awful! Here's what he said about it just recently:

Let This Rustic Pear Tart Into Your Heart!

Mariko Laugh

I love making tarts! This simple and delicious recipe is perfect for breakfast and dessert! For a gluten-free / low-carb version, skip the puff pastry and add all ingredients to a pie plate. Experiment with different Greek yogurt and fruit combinations, and even try adding a sprinkle of nutmeg or cinnamon – the possibilities are endless!

½ cup vanilla Greek yogurt
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed (plus flour for rolling)
2 ripe pears, thinly sliced
2 large eggs

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Roll out puff pastry on lightly floured surface, and fit into lightly greased 9in tart pan (with removable bottom) or pie plate. Arrange pears on bottom of pan. In small bowl, mix yogurt and eggs, and pour over pears and spread evenly. Bake for 35-40 or until set. Cool and serve!
