Fish Caught Off Oregon Coast Are Radioactive! Your Tuna May Not Be Safe To Eat!

Researchers detect radiation in tuna caught off Oregon coast... even though the Fukushima disaster was back in 2011!!

This is pretty scary. Radiation from the 2011 Fukushima disaster in Japan has spread throughout our oceans.

Even though the nuclear power plant disaster was years ago, there are still irradiated fish swimming around. Some of those fish are delicious tuna, and some of those tasty fishies are being caught off the coast of Oregon!

A study of the fish, led by Oregon State University, looked at 26 Pacific albacore tuna caught between

New Dinner Plate Detects Radiation

Paranoid about your food? Want to be even more paranoid? Get the Fukushima plate! It tells you how much radiation is in the food you put on it!

The Fukushima plate has a built-in radioactive meter that tells you how much contamination is in your meal.

While this may just cause extra worry in your life, it’s always a good idea to know what you’re putting in your body!

Anderson Cooper And 360 Crew Evacuate Fukushima Nuclear Plant!

Goodness! He just can't seem to catch a break this year, can he?

Anderson Cooper and his CNN crew - along with various other news outlets - were forced to evacuate the area near the Fukushima nuclear plant yesterday, after they realized that the series of explosions released dangerous levels of radiation!

He explained via Twitter:

Latest on nuke emergency. We're doing 2 hour #ac360 from 10p to 12p live from #japan

Due to safety concerns we are leaving this area an therefore not live for the second hour

Finally found enough fuel, now am trying to drive north away from possible nuclear problems

Thinking about the people still working at the fukushima daiichi nuclear plant. What bravery.

100s nuke workers evacuated from fukushima daiichi plant but some 50 remain trying to cool reactors. I pray for them

we think iodine is only if you've been exposed to radiation, not something you take protectively. We hope we haven't been exposed

So scary!

Glad that they got out of there when they did, and hopefully our Silver Fox and his crew aren't in any danger of radiation!

Our thoughts are also with the brave workers risking their lives by staying at the power plant. Stay safe and best of luck!
