James Robertson has to travel 46 miles to work and back, and 21 of those miles he walks.

An injection molder over at Schain Mold & Engineering over in Rochester Hills, Michigan, James has to rely on limited public transportation, and the occasional ride from a friend.

Because of his salary, and the fact that his girlfriend inherited the house where they live, the 56-year-old can't afford to buy a car.

However, thanks to a GoFundMe account that was set up, donations for James have risen to over $106,000, and continues to rise.

Angelina Jolie Honors Young Pakistani Activist Who Was SHOT In The Head Because She Wanted To LEARN!

angelina jolie women of the world gala 2013

All around awesome human being Angelina Jolie added another notch to her humanitarian belt Thursday while at the Women in the World gala in NYC (above)!

Brad Pitt's future (current?!) wife delivered an inspiring, yet heartbreaking speech honoring Malala Yousafzai, a young Pakistani activist who was shot in the head by the Taliban simply because she wanted equal opportunity education for girls.

Angie has also donated $200,000 to an educational fund set up in Malala's name that will go towards funding various educational projects specifically for females.

It's a sad fact of the world that human beings are still oppressed because of various religious or cultural beliefs. We only hope that these blatant violations of human rights will be addressed and eradicated (somewhat, at least) in our lifetime!

Ch-ch-check out some more snaps of Angelina at the Women in the World gala (below) and then you MUST watch her tear-inducing telling of Malala's story …AFTER THE JUMP!!!

sumner redstone cbs viacom donates 700k cambodian childrens fund charity

It's a shame that it's shocking to us when we hear about powerful business players doing good with their money! It happens less and less with the amount of greed in the world.

Sumner Redstone is one of those people that helps restore our faith a little bit, as he just donated $700k to benefit a Cambodian non-profit that helps impoverished children!

Here's what the CBS/Viacom chairman had to say:

Ground Zero Health Fund Opens For Cancer Victims

More than a decade later, the Ground Zero Health Fund is now open for those determined to have cancer caused by 9/11 debris.

Over 50 different types of cancer will be covered, it's just a question of how much money there is in the fund to begin with.

Check out the news report (above) for all the details.

All we can say is that it's about time something like this has happened, and it's awful how long we've waited.

We can only hope that this will continue the healing processes after such a horrifying day — something we might never completely finish.

Our hearts have, and will always, go out to those affected by the tragedy of 9/11.

Penn State Creating A Fund For Inevitable Civil Lawsuits

Filed under: Icky Icky PooZportzLegal MattersSad SadFootball

penn state creating a fund for lawsuits

Hopefully it's a HUGE fund, because we have no doubt that the lawsuits will be plentiful and costly to the university.

Penn State's Board of Trustees Chairman Steve Garban has announced that the board will be creating a fund to deal with all the civil lawsuits that are bound to come up as a result of the ongoing scandal.

Here's what a source had to say about it:

"[He's been] discussing with fellow trustees the need to establish a fund because it's absolutely inevitable that the university is going to be sued by the alleged victims. There will be absolutely no money taken from Penn State's donations from alumni, corporations, or any other source."

"Money that goes to the the sex abuse fund will be specifically designated, and this is being done is a very discreet manner. Penn State has very, very wealthy donors, and board members, and this is who will be contributing to it."

"[It's] a foregone conclusion that there will be litigation in this matter. It could go on for years."

And here's what the source had to say about how much money will be placed in the fund:

"It will be a significant amount. It's important to emphasize again, absolutely no money that is donated to Penn Sate from the public, will be diverted. No resources will be taken from the institution, period. There will be a very strict oversight of the fund, and every dollar will be accounted for."

Certainly no amount of money can make up for all the horror that these victims endured, but at least this is a SMALL step in the right direction for the university.
