Ryan Murphy has been dealing with his own private American Horror Story after Disney made a deal to acquire 20th Century Fox.

The mega-producer admitted he's been "very emotional" amid the Fox-Disney deal, but will wait and see how the dust settles before deciding if he wants to take his powerhouse production company elsewhere.

He said at the Television Critics Association press tour on Thursday:

"It's a very emotional thing for me. Three months ago, I thought I would literally be buried on the Fox lot. I had my mausoleum picked out. I grew up there. So I was very unprepared for what happened."

Murphy's production company has been at Fox Studios for almost 15 years, where he has grown hit shows for both FOX and FX. So, he was understandably shaken up after his studio home was now suddenly part of the gargantuan Mouse House.

Long past his Glee period, Murphy was worried he would be forced to Disnify his decidedly non-family friendly work. But a call with Disney boss Bob Iger reassured the writer he had nothing to worry about. He recalled:

This week, it was reported that production on the HBO series Westworld was stalled due to a cast member suffering a medical emergency off set.

The actor's identity was kept under wraps — but now, sources tell TMZ that it was Zahn McClarnon who sustained a very bad head injury earlier this week.

Sources say that Zahn, who has a recurring role on the second season of the sci-fi drama, was rushed to the ICU after falling at his home and hitting his head.

The actor, also known for his work on FX's Fargo and his long running role on Longmire, suffered serious trauma from the impact, but is currently "on the mend" in the hospital.

As of this posting, the production of Westworld is still suspended.

We wish Zahn a speedy recovery.

VOTE: Next Week's American Horror Story: Cult Opens With A Mass Shooting — Should FX Postpone The Episode?

no title

Nothing is scarier than when life imitates art.

But in light of recent events, it might be too horrific to air next week's American Horror Story: Cult — because the episode opens with a mass shooting.

The beginning moments of the hour find a crowd of people under attack from a shooter at a political rally, which couldn't have come at a worse time following the real life massacre in Las Vegas on Sunday.

FX and 20th Century Fox have yet to comment about whether or not the episode — which comes at the center of a politically-charged season — would be postponed.

This wouldn't be the first time Ryan Murphy's horror anthology has depicted a mass shooting. Evan Peters' character memorably committed a mass shooting at his high school in season 1, which played out in an excruciatingly gruesome manner.

Of course, that Murder House episode didn't air off the heels of a real life tragedy — though we still expect Season 7's shooting, which was filmed before production wrapped at the end of September, to be just as unsettling.

What do YOU think, Perezious readers? Is it too soon for FX to air the episode, or is there already so much violence on TV that it shouldn't really matter?
