This does not look good for Ja Rule and Billy McFarland — but it may be of note to the FBI and several attorneys

Remember when former Fyre Festival employees came out hands up saying the organizers knew full well all the problems that would turn their paradise into a debacle?

Now there's proof, in the form of gloriously horrible email leaks.

In just one of thousands of emails obtained by Mic, a mid-level employee explains to McFarland and others (in an April 3 email with the subject heading "RED FLAG- BATHROOMS/ SHOWER SHIPPING") the shipping cost for all the upscale communal toilets and showers was higher than they had anticipated — $400K to be exact!

And Fyre fest higher ups were not happy with those numbers.

But one organizer had a solution of sorts. They had also just found out that Starr Catering had dropped out, leading to the joke that it was working itself out:

Fyre Festival Employees Won't Be Getting Paid — Hear The Tense Phone Conference With Angry Workers!

Rich millennials aren't the only ones to be let down by Fyre Festival.

The company that promised a lavish weekend festival in the Bahamas is riddled in lawsuits after the event unraveled into a poorly planned disaster with no amenities, music, or safety.

But now it appears the festival was just as big of a bust for the employees who tried to make it happen, because no one's getting paid for their work on the event that never was!

Co-founder Billy McFarland broke the news to employees in a tense telephone conference last week, saying the company behind the festival, Fire App, would "not able to proceed with payroll immediately."

In the audio obtained by Vice News, the 25-year-old entrepreneur said the company would love to have employees hang around and "hunker down and get back to a place where things resume to business as usual" — just, you know, don't expect to be paid for it.

McFarland's co-creator Ja Rule was on the line in the beginning of the call, but could "barely hear" anyone because of a mysterious "fucking hum" sound. The rapper said he'd call back in, but left McFarland to do the rest of the dirty work.

McFarland said despite employees being in "not an ideal situation," the company would not be laying off or firing anyone — which workers quickly pointed out would prevent them from

Fyre Festival was doomed from the beginning.

About a week ago, word of the hot mess that was going down in the Bahamas took over everyone's timelines — and now we're learning more about what went wrong during the planning stages. Hint: EVERYTHING.

The Ja Rule and Billy McFarland "luxury" event promised "two transformative weekends" filled with supermodels and state-of-the-art villas… but hundreds of rich millennials and influencers flocked to the island getaway to find a FEMA disaster site and no music awaiting them. Bummer.

In a new interview with Variety, two event planners who had worked with the festival in the months leading up to doomsday called the whole situation "incompetence on an almost inconceivable scale."

Damn.

While Ja Rule has been facing a lot of the heat for the disaster, the employees say it was 26-year-old Billy who was making the decisions, along with 24-year-old chief marketing officer Grant Margolin.

If there's one demographic you don't want to piss off, it's rich, litigious millennials who rely on Instagram to get most of their information.

That's what Ja Rule is learning the hard way after his catastrophic Fyre Festival left hundreds of concertgoers stranded in the Bahamas with nothing but disaster tents, sliced bread, and literal debris fires.

The rapper and his co-founder Billy McFarland were hit with a class-action lawsuit on Monday — and now, they're getting sued again!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, three festival-goers — Chelsea Chinery, Shannon McAuliffe, and Desiree Flores — filed a class-action lawsuit against Ja Rule, McFarland, and Fyre Media for breach of contract, negligent misrepresentation, and fraud.

The suit specifically accuses Fyre of promoting the event through social media influencers, who allegedly knew about the impending problems a month ahead of time but failed to warn customers.

Attorney John Girardi wrote in the suit, which was filed Tuesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court:

More awful conditions are coming to light about the dumpster fire that was Ja Rule's Fyre Festival.

A class action lawsuit was filed against the rapper and co-organizer Billy McFarland after hundreds of rich millennials and influencers flocked to the island getaway to find a FEMA disaster site and no music awaiting them.

Now, we're finding out all those affluent concertgoers had to deal with some Guantanamo Bay-level treatment while trying to get back home.

In the $100 million lawsuit filed by lawyer Mark Geragos, festival goers were locked in the airport terminal for hours as passengers waited for a plane to take them back to the states.

Pictures obtained by TMZ show the exhausted travelers were trapped in the terminal like grass-fed cattle as security put a chain-link fence around the building to make sure they didn't escape.

Geragos claims that some of the weary passengers even passed out from lack of water and the heat. And we thought no luxury cabanas were hard living conditions!
