Elle has quickly issued a statement denying they lightened up Gabourey Sidibe's skin on the October cover.

The statement read:

"We have four separate covers this month and Gabby's cover was not retouched any more or less than the others. We had 25 cover-worthy subjects in our portfolio and we chose Gabby because of who she is. We shot this as a story of exuberant young women changing the world. If you take a look at the portfolio, each of the women were shot in different ways and for different reasons."

The internet is buzzing about Gabourey Sidibe's Elle magazine cover.

People are saying the fashion magazine lightened the Precious star's skin color, and after seeing a side by side we agree.

We're sure Elle is going to say the same bullshiz L'Oreal did when they were called out for lightening Beyonce's skin, but they need to say something.

We love Gabourey Sidibe for staying true to herself despite the fame.

BUT based on this outfit she wore in Japan this week we think it might be time for the girl to hire a stylist.

We're sure Oprah could hook a girl up!
