When was the last time you saw a very famous, very well respected actor and thespian, have a son who thought he could be a rapper?
Oh yeah, we're looking at you Chet Haze! It's like a weird form of trying to separate yourself from your beloved father in whatever way possible, and we have to wonder if Tom Hanks really supports Chet's choice of musical profession! He probably does, he seems like the best dad in the WORLD.
Well, now he can totally call up a fellow actor of his and talk pros and cons of the situation, because Daniel Day Lewis's son Gabe Day also thinks he's a rapper… and, well, we can see the effort, but we're still on the fence with this vid!
The song (above), Green Auras, was shot at Gabe's self-proclaimed school, Sarah Lawrence College, and is about everything you'd expect — smoking weed, friends, and liberal arts students.
He's also very aware that he has a famous dad, and thinks it's straight wack that people would discredit his rapping because of it, and says in the song:
"Judgin' someone for their dad is just as bad as being racist. Call me Gabe Day and not Gabe Day-Lewis, because if you're trying to call me out I'm ’bout to Gabe Day-Lose-It!"
We can't even handle how wrong everything is about that!
You just have to listen for yourselves (PRESS PLAY ABOVE) — and let us know if this makes you miss ol' Chet Haze at all! LOLz!
