At least he's finally admitted it.
As we previously expected, Jared Loughner pled guilty to shooting and killing six people in Tuscon last year as part of an agreement allowing him to avoid the death penalty.
Loughner accepted guilt on 19 criminal counts in a plea agreement, including attempted assassination of former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, the first degree murder of two federal employees, and the attempted murder of two other federal employees.
Gabby and her husband Mark Kelly are content with Loughner's plea.

It's about time that justice was served for this.
Jared Loughner - the man responsible for the Tuscon, Arizona shooting that left six dead, and 13 others, including Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, injured - is expected to plead guilty to the charges against him this Tuesday.
Apparently, the 23-year-old has so far been deemed mentally incompetent to stand trial, but according psychiatric experts, he is now sane enough to comprehend the nature of his crimes and will enter the plea, most likely in bid to avoid the death penalty.
We sincerely hope that he is ready to face the consequences of his horrific, devastating and senseless actions.

Prepare to shed a tear or two. It's a moving and bittersweet moment, so don't feel any shame about it.
It was a very emotional morning on the House floor today as Arizona Democratic Rep. Gabrielle Giffords formally stepped down from her position. With her family watching on from the gallery, Gabrielle handed down her resignation and offered her parting words, assisted by her friend, Democratic Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz.
Watch the video (above) to see and hear Gabby's farewell to the house.
P.S. - Before resigning, Giffords voted in favor of a bill which she introduced shortly before being shot last January. It passed unanimously, 408-0.

So lovely! Our eyes are welling up!
Over the weekend, U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords released an inspiring video in which she announced that she'll be retiring from Congress to focus on her recovery.
Then yesterday, Gabby met with Daniel Hernandez, the gay intern who saved her life, for the first time since she was shot in the head last year.
She also met with other survivors of the January 2011 Tuscon, Arizona shooting during a "Congress on Your Corner" event.
We're sure it was an intense, emotional experience for her to reunite with the man who saved her life…and we're sure it was also a fulfilling one.
We continue to wish Gabby the best of luck with her recovery!

We're so overwhelmed by the inspiration that is Gabrielle Giffords, and how the presence she has even this soon after the shooting during her first long-form interview.
She might struggle with words still, but she still gets her point across.
One of them being that she won't return to congress until she's better, by saying:
