Although he is already the host of The Price Is Right, Drew Carey has found time to star in another TV show!
He will be starring in and producing a new improvised sketch comedy series, which will debut next spring on the Game Show Network. All 40 episodes of the show will be taped on weekends at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Several of his cast members are also Drew Carey Show alum, such as Ryan Stiles, Chip Esten and Kathy Kinney.
Audiences will provide suggestions form the sketches instead of going off the producers' whim, a la Whose Line Is It Anyway?
"`Line' was structured and this show is a lot more free-form," said Drew, who also has no intention to "hog the stage."
He will be having special guests appear to compliment the rotating cast.
Carnie Wilson is suing GSN for $277,500 in additional pay for work she did on her series Unstapled.
According to the lawsuit, Carnie was to receive $120,000 for 24 days of work totaling in six weeks of episodes, but the show ended up taking 53 days with even more hours per day. The complaint reads:
"Accordingly, at the rate of $5,000 per day, which is the daily rate of said contract, Defendant GSN owes to (Wilson) the additional amount of $277,500 with legal interest thereon from the final day of shooting."
But a GSN spokesperson said, "We are not aware of any lawsuit by Carnie Wilson against GSN."
We wonder if her recent termination from The Newlywed Game has anything to do with this?
Just hours after being arrested for reckless endangerment which occurred after the starlet allegedly chucked a bong out her window, Amanda Bynes is pleading her case to the court of public opinion!
Surprising absolutely no one, she sent out an unfocused tweet just minutes ago saying she never drinks or abuses drugs and that she definitely doesn't own a bong!!
