A lot of people think Gary Busey is just some weirdo they've seen on The Apprentice, but they haven't heard his whole story. Yeah, he can be quirky, and parts of the video are no exception, but he always means well, and he has an important cause that's very close to his heart…

… or brain, we should say!

Gary was in a motorcycle accident in 1988 that killed him. He wasn't wearing a helmet, and he cracked open his skull. During the emergency brain operation, he literally died.

Of course, he was brought back, and we're glad that he's doing okay — and he's working tirelessly to make sure what happened to him doesn't happen to anyone else, especially those who might not survive!

Although we still have to wait until March 3rd to see if Gary Busey loses his shizz or if Bret Michaels can take the title for a second time, we at least have a little sneak peek at the dramz to come (above)!

How many decades will it take for Under Siege and Point Break to earn Gary Busey a half mil in residuals!?

That's a question only he and his accountant can answer, though we wouldn't be surprised if they aren't on speaking terms these days!

After declaring bankruptcy in February and spending the last 10 months of his life begging the courts for fiscal mercy, the 68 year-actor found a small reprieve when the judge waved around $50k of his tremendous debt!

That's only a fraction of the problem, however — Gary still owes over $450,000 in state and federal taxes and those burdens will NOT be waived!!

We aren't sure what he might do next, but thankfully he remains in good spirits.

Gary Busey & his son Luke Busey were spotted riding the roller coaster of fun times at the 31st Annual Malibu Kiwanis Chili Cook Off.

We're totally not surprised that Busey is still riding roller coasters at his age.

Nothing can stop this man - not even Father Time!

Especially not Father Time - this man takes no prisoners!!!

It was bound to happen.

NBC is plotting the ultimate season of Celebrity Apprentice ever, Celebrity Apprentice: All Stars.

If Donald Trump is on board with the idea, the network wants to bring back past winners Piers Morgan, Joan Rivers and Bret Michaels as well as other colorful characters like Omarosa, Gary Busey and Dennis Rodman.

NBC wouldn't comment on the rumor, but a source says they're gunning for a February premiere date.

Like father, like…

Gary Busey's son Jake Busey, who was in the underrated classic Starship Troopers, had two important announcements for the world.

The first is that he has a brand new fiancee, April Hutchinson.

The second is that his new fiancee has got a bun in the oven!

Despite his constant craziness, Gary Busey spent a somewhat normal day with his family, girlfriend Steffanie Sampson and their young son Luke, at their home in Malibu for Luke's 2nd birthday.

Even though the actor has recently announced his financial woes and filing for bankruptcy, he managed to put a crazy smile on his face for his son's birthday celebration.

Gary helped the little guy blow out his candles, which seemed to cheer him up.

Despite having Gary as a dad, Luke seems like a pretty normal child.

Oh man, we can only imagine how things will be when he gets older though. Thankfully, Steffanie seems like an awesome mom who holds it all together… Gotta give props to that gurl.

Let's hope Luke had a very happy, happy birthday!
