Gary Sinise Returning To CBS… For Yet Another Spin-Off!

no title

You can't keep a good man down.

CSI: New York alum Gary Sinise is returning to CBS for a spin-off of yet another procedural show.

This time, he'll be the lead in a new Criminal Minds show, which does not have a title yet.

Unfortunately for CSI fans, Sinise will not be reprising the role of Mac Taylor. Instead, he'll play a new character Jack Garrett. Garrett will be in charge of FBI's team for handling cases involving Americans abroad.

For the record, Sinise's show will be the SECOND Criminal Minds spin-off. Have a hard time keeping all those CBS shows straight? So do we:

veteran triple amputation smart home 9 11

As a triple amputee, Marine Cpl. Juan Dominguez doesn't just deserve this smart home, he needs it.

He lost both legs and an arm when he landed on a buried bomb after slipping down an embankment in Afghanistan.

You might recognize this story — we've talked about it before. With the help of the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation and its partner, the Gary Sinise Foundation, the house is being completely donated.

Here's what Dominguez said:

Eddie Vedder Injured! Postpones Tour!

Eddie Vedder Injured

What is going on with all the celebrity men out there??

First we had Kevin Bacon, then Gary Sinise, and now Eddie Vedder is injured now too!

Be careful out there! It's like the PG version of Final Destination!

Pearl Jam's frontman had to postpone his 15 stop solo tour because nerve damage in his arm couldn't be repaired. The injury comes from his back — which he hurt earlier this year!

The tour was supposed to start on April 10th, and will now start at the end of October. Quite the gap!

Here's what Eddie's manager said:

"Sincerest apologies go out to those who have made plans and bought tickets. Eddie is frustrated beyond measure, but remains positive that come this summer all will be back in good form."

We hope so (that you'll be back in good form)!

Feel better, Eddie! We need your music!

Tickets will be honored for the rescheduled dates, our you could get a refund. Your call!

Gary Sinise Injured In Car Accident!

Mama always said life is like a box of chocolates. You never know which one you're gonna get.

This is SO scary!!! The amazing co-star from Forrest Gump, Gary Sinise, was involved in a car accident early Thursday morning in Washington DC.

Gary was riding shotgun when the car collided and while the Academy Award-nominated actor did receive injuries, they are considered to be minor.

Sinise has cancelled a number of concerts he was scheduled to perform with his band, Lt Dan Band (what a great name LOLZ).

We wish you a speedy recovery, sir!

Remember to be careful driving, friends. There are some dangerous automobiles with some crazy drivers out there!!!

10 Things Stephen King Hates About You Has To Say About The New Stand

stephen king on the stand

Earlier this week, we learned that a new version of Stephen King's The Stand is in the works.

Now, King has opened up with his thoughts about the upcoming adaptation of his classic novel.

Here are the top ten things he had to say about it to Entertainment Weekly:

1. No one will be able to top Gary Sinise, who played Stu Redman in the original ABC miniseries. He was perfect. When he says “You don’t know nothing” to the soldiers who are putting him under mandatory quarantine, you believe his contempt completely. My runner-up pick would be Jake Gyllenhaal.
2. I didn’t know anything about the remake until I read about it on the Internet.
3. You absolutely can’t make it as a two-hour movie. If it was a trilogy of films…maybe.
4. Molly Ringwald won’t be playing Fran Goldsmith this time.
5. Rutger Hauer is a little too old to play the Walkin’ Dude, and that’s too bad.
6. People who’ve seen Kubrick’s The Shining dislike the miniseries I wrote (and my amigo Mick Garris directed) even if they haven’t seen it. That’s always annoyed me. But the wheel of karma turns! This time people will probably say, “The miniseries was lots better.” BUT…
7. …historically speaking, movie studios blow the budget on things like this, so maybe it’ll be fun to look at. The dough certainly isn’t going to me, although if it is a trilogy, and if it makes a lot of money, I might be able to buy a chicken dinner at Popeye’s. Great slaw!
8. Molly Ringwald will probably not play the Trashcan Man, either, but Billy Bob Thornton would be cool. Billy Bob’s always cool.
9. They need to write in a lot of heavy-metal for the soundtrack.
10. M-O-O-N, that spells “you probably won’t see this anytime soon.” And when you do, Woody Allen won’t be directing it. Or Molly Ringwald.
