JK, we know it's the man who once made Selena Gomez swoon, but we're SO utterly confused as to why the Believe singer would don such a strange headpiece!

Justin was spotted returning to his London hotel Wednesday eve after dining at famed restaurant Mr. Chow's., and dude was sporting this VERY odd, lung-protecting mask (above).

JB was first seen wearing the gas mask a couple of weeks ago while shopping in London, and we've heard he uses it for disguise purposes…

Justin Bieber is firing back following allegations that he lost his stylish swag after he sported a questionable ensemble yesterday.

While Justin is no stranger to the public's scrutiny, he was inspired to give a reason for the overwhelmingly loud, mismatched clothing choice after he heard ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez hadn't "laughed harder in a very long time" after seeing photos of him.

We were also shocked when we saw Justin in the colorful outfit, but he has now explained that the look was all for the love of his fans and to follow through on a dare!

However, there’s been some reports saying that Bieby wore the mask to disguise himself in public, though, if you ask us, it seemed to draw even MORE attention!

Who knows if we’ll ever find out the meaning behind the mysterious mask!
