This may sound CRAY, but the weight loss company Aspire Bariatrics is claiming that sucking food out of your stomach right after you eat is a lot safer than a gastric bypass procedure.
According to the company, the "Therapy System is a breakthrough weight loss solution for people with obesity," which "gives patients control over their weight loss":
We know how disastrous a bathroom miscalculation can be in white pants- but what about the White House??
Following his gastric bypass, Al Roker had an accident in the worst place possible- his pants!
Ch-ch-check out the video (above) to hear Al tell the hole whole story on Dateline NBC!
We can laugh now, but these gastric bypass surgeries can have some serious consequences! And we know Al is only sharing this humiliating story to help people understand what they might be dealing with.
So good job, Al! You only meant to give us a little insight into your own experience, but a little something extra came out. Kindness.
Weight loss surgery is often viewed as the last resort for people who have been unable to drop unwanted pounds through diet and exercise, but a recent study published in the New England Journal of Medicine proves it may also be the most efficient way to cure type 2 diabetes!
Carnie Wilson has publicly battled her weight throughout her entire career and at one point even underwent gastric bypass surgery which took 150 pounds off of her frame.
Unfortunately, the transformation didn't stick and she gained a lot of the weight back after giving birth to two daughters.
"Having children derailed me a bit. I'm just frustrated with these pounds," the Wilson Philips singer shared in a 2010 interview.
Now she's giving surgery another shot and hopes that the lap-band will not only help shed the unwanted pounds, but keep them off for good! Carnie underwent the procedure on January 18th and we're happy to report that she has since lost 30 pounds, as she explained:
"It was the right decision for me and I'm doing really well so far. It's all about taking good care of myself."
And we hope she continues to take care of herself in the future! Good luck, gurl!
