Trapper Joe, real name Joe LaFont, from Swamp People has been arrested in California for domestic violence.
The only details out are that Joe and his girlfriend got into an argument.
It obviously got violent.
He's currently being held on $1,500 bond.
Maybe wrestlin' with gators all day made a violent person?
Either way, you do the crime, you gotta do the time!
Somehow we're not surprised.
Henry Rollins, the rocker slash poet slash actor, is an absolutely crazy person and yet also one of the most consistently entertaining people in show business.
On May 28th at 8 pm, National Geographic's Animal Underworld will feature Rollins at his crazy entertaining best. The man is going to wrestle an alligator!
Sometimes, when Animal Planet's gator boys are trying to relocate a gator away from people or a populated area, things aren't so easy.
They always try and hand capture the gators, but when that's too tough, like in this clip where the water is too murky to see anything, sometimes they have to go fishing for the alligators.
They don't bait the hooks, because if the gator swallows it (which they almost always do) they die.
Check out the above video to see the gator boys remove a gator from a boat launch area and possibly save its life by doing so.
Animal Planet's Gator Boys describes itself as:
"[…] the death-defying exploits of Paul Bedard and Jimmy Riffle , two extraordinary alligator trappers who risk injury and death to hand capture nuisance alligators that have invaded the backyards, swimming pools, garages and bedrooms of Florida Everglades residents."
So they try and use the most humane techniques possible to capture gators so they don't do harm to the gators and the gators can't do harm to others.
In the above clip they show that not only boys can be gator handlers… there are gator girls too!
Criagslist.com can be a very weird place.
And every once in a while you'll find a story on there that's so crazy it's just gotta be true.
Jimmy T. wrote the craigslist post, titled The gator that ate my pot bellied pig that said:
It's getting colder and colder out as winter approaches.
So one of the last animals you'd think of during the colder months would probably be an alligator.
And the last place you'd expect to see an alligator is probably in Michigan.
But that's exactly where a loose gator was spotted, just roaming around the grass outside of a church in Michigan.
Check out the above video to see the Michigan gator.
