Operation #SaveSarah was a success!
On Thursday, Jeremy Jordan revealed that his cousin Sarah has been released from a "pray the gay away" camp. Earlier this week, the Supergirl star shared that the teenager was being held against her will at a gay conversion facility in Texas, and created a GoFundMe page to help get her out.
And after receiving over $60,000 of donations to cover legal proceedings and attorney fees, the CBS actor explained on the crowdfunding page that the teen is finally free, writing:
"We have an important update. We have just been informed that Sarah has been released from the facility. We don't know the details, but we believe that this page, and the willingness of you all to share Sarah's story had a great deal to do with this."
The Last Five Years alum also requested that fans and supporters stop contributing their money, since he doesn't know what this means for their legal case, adding:
