general hospital may live on

Ya hear that, GH fans? There isn't LOTS of hope…but there's still some!

Last week, ABC's president announced that the network hadn't made a decision yet about whether or not they'll be cancelling General Hospital.

Now, ABC's entertainment chief Paul Lee has confirmed that the network is considering the possibility of airing GH "as an evening summer series."

Intriguing idea! We have a feeling there are TONS of fans out there who would give anything for their favorite soap to live on!

What do U think? Should they continue GH as a primetime show???

Julie Marie Berman, the two-time Emmy award winning actress from General Hospital, started an eco-friendly pet products company called, Better Buddies.

Amazingly, fans of General Hospital pooled money to donate pet beds from her company to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, which is the largest no-kill sanctuary in the US, which is awesome!

Julie has a blog that she writes herself and has a whole page chronicling the bed donations.

You can check it out HERE.

If we had more people like Julie, the world would be a much better place for animals.

Frank Valentini and Rob Carlivati are headed to General Hospital.

Valentini and Carlivati are familiar with ABC, serving as Emmy winning One Life to Live's executive producer and head writer respectively.

The two soap buffs sboth spent at least 15 years at OLTL, and now they move to another Emmy winning show that has been reeling from lack of ratings.

GH won eight Daytime Emmys in 2011 and has been on air for 48 years.

Can these two save the long lasting soap drama?
