This is what we like to hear!
Britain's Prime Minister David Cameron has announced that the UK will be drastically cutting aid to ALL African countries that persecute gays.
Thus far, Britain's International Development Secretary Andrew Mitchell has cut Malawi's aid by £19 million for the country's persecution against two gay men, who were sentenced to fourteen years of hard labor. Fortunately, the men have now been freed.
In an effort to further support Prime Minister Cameron, Andrew Mitchell has also threatened to "impose further aid 'fines' against Uganda and Ghana for hardline anti-gay and lesbian measures."
Here's what a spokesperson for Mitchell had to say about it:

Words cannot properly describe how awful and disturbing this!
According to a new report, the Western Regional Minister of Ghana Paul Evans Aidoo MP has ordered the arrest of all gays in the country.
Here's what he said about his sickening decision:

A man was stopped going through customs at Dulles International Airport in Washington DC after elephant tails and a dried hedgehog were found in his suitcase.
WTF!?
The man from Ghana said they were for "spiritual purposes", but never declared them on his customs form. Instead he referred to them as dried herbs and clothing.
Umm, big difference pal.
The items were eventually burned after customs officials believed they could be carrying diseases.
Ick!

Ah, but we had a good run!
Our scrappy USA players played a great game against Ghana during Saturday's World Cup second round, but in the end, the Americans were defeated.
Going three minutes into overtime, Ghana scored the winning point with the final score 2-1.
This eliminates the USA team from the World Cup.
Sadsies!! But at least we got to see the players take off all their shirts after the game!

We're very impressed!
Jason Mraz became the first celebrity to participate on the ground with "Free the Slaves", a nonprofit organization whose mission is to "end slavery worldwide."
Jason traveled to Ghana this past week and spent five days in the country traveling with a former child slave to learn more about the injustice. James Kofi Annan, Jason's guide, founded a school in Winneba, where many former slaves come to learn and be free.
Peggy Callahan, the organization's co-founder and executive producer, said that it was very special for her and the children to see Jason's involvement with the cause:
"The movement to end slavery really needs more voices, but they really need to be authentic voices, people who really do care about an issue. And Jason's one of those people, and he's willing to take the time to find out."
It's horrible to think of what these poor children are going through, but it's wonderful to know there are those fighting for their freedom.
Props to you Jason for doing some much needed good in another neighborhood!
